15. Mommy, Dearest 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' -- 'I Was Made to Love You' (Feb. 20, 2001) It's not like Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) didn't have enough on her plate already, what with the vampire slaying and all. But the universe threw another major curve at her in this episode. Buffy's mom Joyce (Kristine Sutherland), divorced from Buffy's dad Hank, had finally gone on an enjoyable date, and returned home happy and making jokes about getting frisky with the fella. Which made her from-out-of-left field death all the more sad and heartbreaking, as Buffy later that evening found her mom, who had suffered a brain aneurysm, dead on the living room couch. __________________

Well it's the ending that is sad. The rest of the episode is hilarious.
The no music makes the Body So much real. I didn't expect to find Buffy on this list. It always is somewhere on one of these lists.  __________________

It is a funny episode, except the ending. Maybe i'll just watch it and cut it off before the end.

I skip through lots of bits of Buffy (and other shows). If I don't like a scene or it makes me sad I just fastforward.

Tbh a lot of the time I only watch an ep for a certain scene so just skip the rest. I think yesterday was the first time in ages i sat and watched the dvd all the way through.

Really? If I really love something I'll rewatch it all the time. The only time I rewatched whole episodes was when BTVS was on FX.
