Britney Spears News thread # 1

I missed this forum so much. Withdrawal symptoms. I've been here for over 5 years and I need it.

A lot has happened while it was gone.

Sean Preston fell and hurt his head. Allegation of Britney being a bad mother swept around the world but I think she is doing a good job. She took him to the doctor straight after the accident and a few days later. Accidents happen.

No more info on her new album have emerged but sooner or later it'll come.
I'm still not sure that it'll come this year.

Missed News Updates

Britney hiring medically-trained nannies
Entertainment.Yahoo.com: Pop singer Britney Spears is hiring two medically-trained nannies after her baby cracked his skull.

The singer has spent days talking to specialist agencies to find 24-hour care for six-month-old Sean Preston. He suffered a suspected fracture when his chair collapsed at Britney's Malibu home. The nanny caring for him woke Britney, 24, and a doctor was called. He found no problems. But six days later Britney rushed still-groggy Sean to hospital.

"She doesn't want to risk anything happening to him again," a source close to the singer was quoted by The Sun, as saying. "She has been looking for somebody who can recognise the signs if he becomes ill again," she added.

The insider added that Britney and hubby Kevin Federline, 28, were considering installing a sophisticated video surveillance system so they can monitor Sean while away working.

I ain't gettin' no divorce. **** that! I don't believe in that ****. Once you get married, you're in it for the fight." The former back-up dancer believes Lachey is entitled to multi-million dollar alimony payments from his estranged wife - because the couple became even more famous while they were married. He explains, "They did their whole thing together. They really blew up together on that (reality) show. They deserve whatever they get."

Director PENELOPE SPHEERIS has already said Pink would be her first choice for the part, but the GET THE PARTY STARTED singer has decided not to pursue the project.

Kevin's Most Hated Song Recording MTV Article
MTV.com: Considering all the things about Kevin Federline that seem to rub people the wrong way - the cornrows, the wife-beaters, the "PopoZao" - it's a miracle that no real rappers have come forth to put him in his place. So a pair of fake hip-hoppers from Boston have picked up the slack, recording a K-Fed dis track."Wake Up, K-Fed" is the work of DJ Dirty Beagle and Names, a pair of investment bankers who describe themselves as "suburban-raised middle-class kids with too much free time."

For months, the duo watched in horror as K-Fed dropped his ass-worshiping opus "PopoZao", followed by the equally terrifying (and Thomas Dolby-biting) "America's Most Hated". Finally, one hazy Sunday afternoon, they decided they'd had enough. "When we heard his latest track, it was so bad and so short that we felt like it had to be done, so we set all of last weekend aside to devote ourselves to it," Beagle said. "Something had to be done. Other rappers just don't care. He's taken enough flack for the hair and the wife-beaters in the gossip rags, but we felt like the East Coast needed to holler back at such slothlike behavior and general apathy. I don't think 50 Cent reads Us Weekly, so it takes a new-school type to take him out." "He's not a legitimate rapper, he has no street cred, so other rappers don't even consider stooping to his level. It would be too easy for them," Names added. "We, on the other hand, are just as illegitimate as him. We're Caucasian WASPy kids, so we're the perfect people to battle him."

So the two went to work and recorded "Wake Up, K-Fed" in one afternoon. And though the "studio" conditions were less than ideal ("We didn't even have a microphone, so I yelled at the computer," Names said), they knew right away that the track had enough lyrical venom to overcome even the lowest of lo-fi surroundings. "He claims that 'hip-hop is all he ever knew,' but that's like me saying hip-hop is all I ever knew when my first CDs were Alanis Morissette, Whitney Houston and Pearl Jam," Names said. "There's so much material it was just calling my name. I mean, have you seen the video of him in his studio listening to 'PopoZao'?"

On the track, Names takes potshots at K-Fed's lyrical skills ("How can you steal a beat from Mobb Deep / And then make a song that puts people to sleep?"), mocks his personal hygiene and threatens to "put [him] away like a trundle bed" over a beat Dirty Beagle hijacked from Dr. Dre's "Forgot About Dre." The duo said they hope K-Fed and his wife are listening. "I just wanted it to escalate to me and him in a battle. I'll even fly out to L.A. to battle him on his own turf. I mean, if you can't defend yourself, then you don't belong in the rap game talking about how you gonna get back at the haters." Names said. "And I am the most diabolical hater."

"We want Britney to hear it, because we'd like to tell her, 'Don't let your husband embarrass you!' " Beagle added. "You've had a great career and your songs are so much better than his - you must be able to steer him away from releasing such awful tracks." "Wake Up" debuted earlier this week, and though reviews have been mixed (comments range from "That was awesome!" to "I could've written better lyrics"), the dynamic duo are looking to build on their newfound fame. They've just launched a MySpace page (MySpace.com/DJDirtyBeagle), and there's even a proper studio album in the works, called State Of The Nation. "We'll probably time the release to coincide with K-Fed's album," Names said. "We'll see who does better in sales."

Federline's management and publicist could not be reached for comment.

Britney asks her mom for help

MusicRooms.net: Britney Spears has allegedly begged her mum for help after her baby son fractured his skull. The pop princess was devastated after six-month-old Sean Preston banged his head falling from his highchair. The 24-year-old - who was quizzed by social services officials after doctors reported the baby was taken to the UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles with head injuries - has now asked mum Lynne Spears to help out.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Britney needs her mum more than ever. The events of the week have really scared her. "She's a young mother and needs the wisdom of someone older who's done it all herself." Britney - who sparked outrage when she was photographed driving with Sean on her knee earlier this year - and husband Kevin Federline have been cleared from any wrongdoing in the accident.

The star's lawyer, Martin Singer, said in a statement: "While there was an automatic report by the hospital to the Department of Children and Family Services, DCFS immediately responded and determined there was no problem and no reason to open a formal investigation. "They determined that the parents were not involved in any injury and that nothing improper was done within the home."

Britney heading for small screen stardom?
ContactMusic.com: Singer BRITNEY SPEARS has met with WILL & GRACE star SEAN HAYES and a group of producers to discuss joining the cast of a new sitcom. The 24-year-old attended the meeting to talk about a role in an ensemble sitcom about teachers, tentatively titled DETENTION.

During the two hour meeting in late February (06), the TOXIC singer read lines from a script and confessed she was "aching to give acting a go", according to American magazine Us Weekly. Spears guest starred alongside Hayes on Will & Grace last month (MAR06), appearing as a conservative talk show host.

A source close to the actor says, "Having seen the way Britney works, he knows she has potential." One of the producers' main concerns was that the pop star was pregnant with her second child. The source adds, "First, she laughed and said, 'Do I look it?' Then she assured them that she wouldn't jeopardize a new project. "Britney is up for it. Everyone will be meeting again soon."

Kevin won't allow his children to be in the business
TeenHollywood.com: Britney Spears' husband Kevin Federline has vowed he will not allow his children to go into showbusiness until they learn proper moral values. The aspiring rapper has two children Kori and Kaleb with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, and seven-month old son Sean Preston with Spears. He says, "I'll encourage it, but not until they're adults. I'm not gonna let them be in this business when they're kids. "I don't believe in that. It's too hard on them. They need to learn life values first."

Britney expected to perform at the Dome
The new operators of the ill-fated Millennium Dome will today show how the inside of the giant Greenwich structure is taking new shape ahead of its re-opening next year. AEG Europe, part of America's giant Anschutz Corporation, is turning the Dome in south London into a 23,000-capacity entertainment arena.

Stars such as Sir Paul McCartney, Madonna, the Rolling Stones and Britney Spears are expected to perform at the Dome, which is now officially known as The O2. As well as holding live music concerts, the Dome will host sporting events and will be the venue for the basketball and gymnastic events when London stages the Olympic Games in 2012.

Negligence by the nanny
The Sun: BRITNEY Spears' baby son suffered a fractured skull and a potentially fatal blood clot in a fall at her home, it was reported last night. Seven-month-old Sean hit his head after tumbling from a high chair while with a nanny in the singer's kitchen in Malibu, California. Worried Britney, 24, rushed him to hospital when she noticed Sean seemed ill and was sleeping more than usual. Police later made a routine call at her home because the tot had been to hospital and she told officers what had happened. Britney was also questioned by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, who are always alerted when a child is taken to hospital.

Doctors were concerned about Sean's fractured skull, but more worried about the blood clot, Star magazine reported last night. A source close to Britney said: "She is desperately worried." "She didn't know what was wrong with him because he appeared lethargic and was sleeping constantly."

"She took him to the hospital and doctors say he has a minor fracture." "Britney is furious with the nanny because this happened while she and her husband were out." The star and her hubby Kevin Federline, 28, are not under suspicion following Seans fall on April 1. The DCFS refused to comment on claims they are launching a probe into possible negligence by the nanny. Sean is believed to be back home with his mum and dad. When asked about the youngster last night, Kevin said: "He's fine." Cops are still probing claims Britney drove with Sean perched on her lap, following pictures of her returning from Starbucks in February.

Britney and son home safely
People.AOL.com: Britney Spears's six-month-old son, Sean Preston, fell and hit his head on Saturday, April 1, at the Malibu home the pop star shares with husband Kevin Federline, a source close to Spears tells PEOPLE. While the baby's nanny was lifting him from his high chair, something snapped in the chair and Sean Preston slipped from her arms and fell to the floor, bruising his head. A doctor came to the house that day and examined the child; he seemed fine.

But six days later, Spears and Federline became concerned and took Sean Preston to the hospital emergency room to have him checked out, the source adds. No serious problems were found. Spears, Federline and their son are back home and doing fine now, a second source tells PEOPLE.

After the hospital visit, child welfare officials visited Spears's home accompanied by a sheriff's deputy.

"The Department of Children and Family Services called us on Saturday (April 8) and asked us to accompany them to the home of Mrs. Spears for their visit," Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokeswoman Lt. Debra Glafkides tells PEOPLE. "It's very routine and common for us to accompany them." According to Glafkides, the visit lasted about half an hour and no police report was filed.

The Sheriff's Department could not release any further information, and the Department of Children and Family Services generally does not comment on cases due to confidentiality laws. "While there was an automatic report by the hospital to the Department of Children and Family Services, DCFS immediately responded and determined there was no problem and no reason to open a formal investigation," Spears's attorney Marty Singer tells PEOPLE. "They determined that the parents were not involved in any injury and that nothing improper was done within the home."

DCFS officially closed the case
TMZ.com: Kevin Federline was asked about his son Sean, in the wake of a surprise call to his home by reps from the Los Angeles agency that investigates allegations of child abuse and child endangerment.

Cameras caught K-Fed entering a posh condo complex in the Century City area of Los Angeles. Britney Spears' husband did not directly address the events of the day, but nodded when asked if Sean was ok. Wacth video here!

An L.A. County Sheriff's official tells TMZ that the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has closed its investigation into the welfare of Britney Spears' child.

The official said that his department accompanied DCFS to Spears' home on April 8, based on a complaint. We asked the Sheriff's rep if DCFS paid a visit because the complaint had merit. He said, "DCFS responds to all complaints." He added that DCFS closed the case on the spot, at the house. According to the rep: "Everyone was fine" so it was "case closed."

DCFS visit was just political
UsMagazine.com: According to The Insider, at around 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, a Sheriff's Deputy from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Department accompanied investigators from the Department Of Children and Family Services to the Malibu home of Britney Spears.

A source tells Us that the Sheriff's visit was part of the ongoing investigation into allegations that Spears drove a car while her baby, Sean Preston, sat on her lap. "It was part of the child endangerment investigation," says the source, who adds that Britney was told ahead of time by her lawyers that the DFCS would be paying a visit. "She knew they were coming. It was all standard." Source says that Spears' attorneys do not expect Britney to be prosecuted. "It's all political. They have to do [the investigation]."

God I missed this place. Especially with so much breaking in regards to Britney over the last few weeks.

I still wonder if she's gearing up for a end of the year CD. Especially with video she released on her site that had a snippet of a song with her dancing in a studio. As if she's starting to get back to the routine of dancing. After such a huge layoff.

I think she might have her first true appearance at the VMA's in August. Whether appearing or performance. And then the push will be on.

I have heard rumors of a November release to early 2007. So I guess we'll see.

But I'm sure the VMA's would love to have Britney back LOL!

It would be really special if she everyone heard her song for the first time on the VMA. If she released it to Itunes straight away then she would probably be in the top10 on Billboard the first week.

The High Chair Dropped Britney Spears' Baby

Britney Spears’ baby boy recently fell and bonked his head, but the singer reportedly thinks a high chair might be to blame.

A nanny was taking the seven-month-old tot from his high chair earlier this month when “something snapped,” according to a report in People magazine.

Baby Sean Preston was taken to the hospital, where he was deemed okay, but now Spears is looking into suing the maker of the chair, according to In Touch Weekly. “The chair’s back broke,” a “family insider” explained to the mag. “She’s going to see if there was a fault in the chair.”

Meanwhile, Shar Jackson — the mother of two children by Spears’ hubby, Kevin Federline — reportedly doesn’t have great faith in Spears’ mothering abilities.

“Shar told Kevin that Britney can’t be alone with their kids,” a source told the mag. “Shar said that if Kevin wants to see their kids, he and Britney must do it at a hotel. “She doesn’t know what goes on at their house and there are too many strangers hanging around.”

Mr. Spears "F Divorce"

Kevin Federline has hit back at speculation that his marriage to Britney Spears will not last.

Speaking in an interview with US magazine Spin, K-Fed was so certain about their relationship that he couldn’t stop swearing. “"I ain't gettin' no divorce,” said Kevin, sounding a little like Mr T from the A-Team. “F**k that!"

"I don't believe in that s**t. Once you get married, you're in it for the fight."

Britney Hubby K-Fed's 'Gangsta Life' On The Hustle

Britney Spears' pimped out hubby K-Fed was frightened that he would end up like all of his 'hustlin' homies' in the gangsta life, after watching his friends get shot up or locked up for gang activity.

The rapper wannabe first became involved with gangs in L.A. and remained involved when he moved up north to Fresno, California.

He says, "I moved back to Fresno and the gangster stuff started coming along."

"It was crazy for a while. Crazy like shooting at people, people getting robbed."

"A lot of my people got locked up; a lot of my people are dead. I'm not gonna sit here and get into details about what I did."

"I'm not gonna sit here and say that I'm this grimy, gutter, gangsta. But I have been on the hustle."

Excuse me while I gag.

Britney Making A Comeback Whilst In Hiding

Pop princess or tabloid queen Britney Spears has been in hiding for a few weeks now and the question on everybody's lips is "where is she?" Sources say with an album out middle of November Britney is determined to get her body back better than ever and in record time.

She's on an extremely strict diet and is doing hours of workouts each day. The next time she steps out dont expect to recognise her says a source close to Spears. Britney is set to start magazine shoots and promotional work later next month, her new single will premiere September 2006. Credit: tobstar73 from Pop Prodigy and UBritney.com (for editing).

I had this feeling that this is what Britney was doing. I was about to make an article about it the other day. I hope she stays healthy and doesn't get exhausted.

Britney To Send Kevin To Charm School

Growing up in Kentwood, La., Britney Spears dreamed of a Prince Charming who’d sweep her off her feet. But her husband’s lack of manners has her fed up. Meanwhile, Aspiring rapper KEVIN FEDERLINE insists his marriage to BRITNEY SPEARS will never end in divorce like NICK LACHEY and JESSICA SIMPSON's relationship. Federline believes the former NEWLYWEDS: NICK + JESSICA stars didn't work hard enough to keep their relationship together. He explains, "My situation is different. I ain't gettin' no divorce. F**k that!"I don't believe in that s**t. Once you get married, you're in it for the fight."

K-Fed: "I Didn't Pimp Britney"

Britney Spears' wannabe rapper hubby Kevin Federline adores his his 'pimp' appearance because it provides him a way to be 'rap-worthy', according to a published report.

K-Fed was wearing a track outfit to his marriage celebration in 2004 that had the words 'Pimp Daddy' on the back, so he explains, "If I'm gonna be a rapper, that image can't really hurt."

However, K-Fed insists that his 'pimp' status and reputation won't continue into his family life with wifey Britney Spears.

"A real pimp is a dude who's making money off b***hes who sling that a** on the street."

"Nowadays, people will say they're a pimp just because they're suave."

"I'm not no pimp. I'm just Kevin. Happy husband. Happy father. I didn't pimp Britney. I found love."

Britney In The Constant Lime Light

Oh how we all love hearing about what the pop princess Britney Spears does on a daily basis. Everything from her childcare woes to her switching toothpaste seems to be newsworthy information. But what about the real people out there, the typical American parents that are making the same childcare mistakes as Spears has been getting public attention for that are never reprimanded?

Over the past few months, Britney Spears, her husband Kevin Federline and their six-month-old son Sean Preston have been in the news just about daily. Their quick engagement and marriage, their divorce rumors and all of the "problems" with her pregnancy have brought their faces on to the newsstands for months. Now with all of the public concerns over their inadequate parenting, they are even more popular. Is any press still good press?

According to the Associated Press, the two most recent incidences of stupidity, dropping Sean Preston and driving around with him in her lap, were not a result of anything being "improper within the home." The real problem in this situation, however, is that celebrities do something wrong, it is a huge problem but if the American public does it we ignore it and hope it will go away rather than let the country look bad.

There are parents and caregivers all over this country that drop babies, don't make children sit in their car seats and abuse children each and everyday. What about all of those parents? Why isn't the Department of Children and Family Services visiting their homes with a police escort? OK, it is great to bring all of this to light, but what can we do about it as college students?

Whether you are a teacher, a healthcare provider, a construction manager or some kind of industrial technology major, public education is part of your job. We, the seekers of higher education, have an obligation to this country and its children to stop abuse, neglect and all around irresponsible parenting. Some students here already have children, some would like children and other want nothing to do with them, which ever is the case, as a generation, we have an influence over future generations.

Take some time, if you already are a parent, to look at the way you are taking care of your children and see if there are any changes that you could make that would not only benefit your children but also yourself. If you are planning on having children in the future, think about the things that will be important to you as a parent when that time comes and learn from the mistakes of others. If you are not going to have children, think about joining some kind of mentoring program or volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club over the summer if you have some time.

Whatever you do, think about what it was like to be a child and try to be a good role model for those younger than yourself.

Sorry Kevin, if Britney ever decides she had it with you for the final time. You won't have much say about the divorce question. I'm sure Britney will have a whole pack of lawyers and her family willing to help her.

I guess it's admirable that he's committed to his marriage. And it's shocking they are coming up to 2 years in September.

But I still think they are on borrowed time. Whenever Britney's next CD comes out, I think that will get her back in the mode of her career. And it will be good-bye Kevin!

And she's go back to her career and being a mother...

Yea Britney need to start getting selfish. Its her time to shine, and K-Fed will just have to be the guy in the corner she married.

New pics of Kevin up at breatheheavy.com, looks like Kevin kinda gained some weight.

K-Fed: "I Didn't Pimp Britney"

"But I found love." So says Kevin Federline. And as he spits fire at the paparazzi and shouts out big ol' butts, he's about to launch a rap career.

Outfitted in full camouflage gear, Kevin Federline hunkers down in a pristine recording studio in his heavily secured Malibu home. His wife of a year and a half, Britney Spears, is upstairs caring for their eight-month-old son, Sean Preston Federline. Despite tabloid reports that his relentless Vegas partying has threatened to break up the couple's relationship, the man known as "K-Fed" -- a media tag he loathes -- is in low-key domestic mode at the moment. Of the rumors that he's stepping out on Britney: "False," he says, taking a drag on a Newport. "Completely. Ass backwards. People, unless you go through it every day, really don't know what all these celebrities go through."

Yet, as he complains of harassment by the media, Federline, 28, has taken a curious approach to maintaining his privacy. With his baile-funk-influenced single, "PopoZao" (his website received more than one million hits after the song, and its video, were posted online), and a self-titled debut album due this summer on his own yet-to-be-named label, the former backup dancer is attempting to launch a rap career, despite scant experience on the mic. And why exactly is he doing this?

"I don't have a choice," says Federline. "It's not like I can go and do construction, start building houses in Malibu. [Laughs] [The media] are forcing me to do this, and I'm glad they are. I'm more than happy to do it."

Mmmm.

Federline contends that he has deep hip-hop roots. Before he met Spears, he paid his dues on the mean streets of Fresno, California. There, a young Federline discovered the power of B-boy culture and testifies that it saved his life. Now, with an MC style that falls somewhere between 2Pac and Lil' Kim, with joints like "****aratti" (aimed at the paparazzi) and the bouncy "Pit Roastin'" ("I'm loving every single one of your races," he declares), the much-derided all-around player -- dance moves, rhymes, good looks -- is ready for his moment.

When asked if he's at a disadvantage because he's a white rapper, Federline, sitting next to a hundred-thousand-dollar mixing console, responds bluntly: "Music is music. Back in the day, did they hate Jerry Lee Lewis for coming out with the stuff he was coming out with?"

In other words, prepare to be scorched by K-Fed's great balls of fire.

What was your childhood like? I grew up in Fresno listening to the Kool Moe Dees and Big Daddy Kanes. I was right there with [hip-hop], you know? Every bit of it, I liked. I moved to Carson City, Nevada, for a while with my parents. They split, so I wound up staying there with my mom and getting into a little trouble when I was, like, eight or nine years old.

Trouble? Ah, you know -- girls. She caught me at home with some girls one time. It wasn't like I was getting down or anything. It's just that I was going behind her back and doing **** that she couldn't handle. Then I moved back to Fresno and the gangster stuff started coming along.

What do you mean by "gangster stuff"? Whenever it started out here [in Los Angeles], those [gang members] moved to Fresno. It was crazy for a while. Crazy like shooting at people, people getting robbed.

Were you rollin' with a posse? I had my people. A lot of my boys are okay, but a lot of my people got locked up; a lot of my people are dead. I'm not gonna sit here and get into details about what I did, you know? I'm not gonna sit here and say that I'm this grimy, gutter gangster. But I have been on the hustle, y'knowwhatI'msayin'?

Was dancing a way for you to stay out of the stuff that was going down in the streets? Yeah. I met these guys when I was 13 -- I saw them in a dance studio, and they were doing hip-hop ****. I went in there and learned poppin' and **** like that. When I was 15, I started working for this nonprofit organization, which took kids off the streets and taught them better things to do. It was called Dance Empowerment. I started there and I met my boy Jimmy -- who I wound up moving to L.A. with when I was 20. I found out that I could come out here and make money as a dancer. I went on tour with LFO ['90s Florida boy band Lyte Funky Ones]. I was happy as ****.

When did you realize that you wanted to rap? It was always there in my head. Like tryin' to put melodies together. Just doing it for fun. Not even doing it thinking that I'ma go in and try to do it big. I didn't think that until maybe two years after I'd been in L.A. When I was with [ex-girlfriend/mother of his first two children] Shar [Jackson], we put a little studio in the house. But I never actually put together a demo and went and shopped it. I had too much going on. I was dancing my ass off. I did the You Got Served movie and all that.

Who would you say influenced your rap flow? I'm influenced by so many different kinds of music. I might throw a track out there that's got me singin' a little bit. I guess I categorize myself as an artist -- a true artist. I'm not out here to battle people, I'm not out here to be the best rapper; I'm out here to be the best artist. Where I'm lookin' at it, it's like your whole performance is your package. Your music is fire, and people can tell that you put your heart into it. Anytime you put emotion into what you're doing, man, and people see that? You can't lose.

So what topics do you get into on your record? Some of it is talking about my past, before I got to L.A. and all that. I got some West Coast heat 'cause that's where I'm from. Then I got the "PopoZao" for Brazil. Popo zao means "big ass."

One of the images of you in the media is that of a pimp [Federline wore a tracksuit with the words pimp daddy on the back to his wedding celebration]. Well, I guess if I'm gonna be a rapper, that image can't really hurt. [Laughs]

What's your definition of a pimp? A real pimp is a dude who's making money off bitches who sling that ass on the street. Nowadays, people will say they're a pimp just because they're suave. I'm not no pimp. I'm just Kevin. Happy husband. Happy father. I didn't pimp Britney. I found love.

What do you think about your man Nick Lachey -- because of his split with Jessica Simpson, he might be getting a multimillion-dollar alimony payment. Shiiit! That's crazy. But they did their whole thing together. They came up together, y'knowwhatI'msayin'? They really blew up together on that [reality] show. They deserve whatever they get. That's how I see it. My situation is different. I ain't gettin' no divorce. **** that! I don't believe in that ****. Once you get married, you're in it for the fight.

Shar Jackson Bans Her Kids From Britney's House

Britney Spears recent highly publicized troubles with her son Sean Preston Federline has reportedly caused Brit's husband Kevin Federline's ex-gal and mother of two of his kids to take pause and consider the safety of her children while they are around the famous couple, a published report claims. Katie Holmes is No Britney: Ready to Get Buff Body Back

Remember those shopping trips Katie Holmes was spotted on right before she gave birth to her little baby Suri? It appears they had more of a purpose than just getting her picture taken.

In Touch Weekly is reporting that the actress was shopping for post-baby clothes to motivate her to get back into shape right after birth. It appears Katie Holmes is no Britney Spears. The weekly magazine reports that The 5'9" actress comes from a family of athletes and says being in shape has always been important to her. Katie, who's stayed fit with yoga and Pilates, has already lined up a trainer to help her drop the pregnancy pounds, In Touch reported. And she may be using is retail therapy for the motivation. She's hoping a new designer wardrobe will prove to be the ultimate weight-loss incentive.

Moms are motivated by non-food rewards, says Jackie Keller, author of Body After Baby. It's healthy to reward yourself with an outfit.

The fabulous Katie Holmes was a size 2 before she became pregnant. And In Touch reports when she hit Maxfield in West Hollywood, she stocked up on plenty of chic size 2 duds for her post-baby body.

Fans of the buff Katie can't wait.

Kevin Fans Attracted Because Of Britney

It promises be the musical event of the year, in a way. Kevin Federline is hosting a listening party this Friday at posh Las Vegas nightclub Pure. Inevitably a large contingent of K-Fed's scruffy hangers-on and his C-list music producers will be in attendance.

But in an interesting turn of supportive wifeliness, Britney Spears is planning to attend and has even gone so far as to put 11 of her own friends on the guest lists for the party, sources say.

So, Britney who reportedly scoffed at Kevin initial attempts at hip-hoppery, is now making what can only be interpreted as a public statement of support for her husband's fledgling career.

Britney Mentioned In New Rolling Stone With Nick Lachey

Britney is mentioned indirectly in the new Rolling Stone with Nick Lachey on the cover. Here is the excerpt:
Lachey and Simpson met at the Hollywood Christmas Parade in December 1998, when he was a member of the boy band 98 Degrees and she was a sweet, Southern, virgin songstress trying to distinguish herself from that other sweet, Southern, virgin songstress.

Producer Rotem Rolls With Britney, Game, Mya...

Producer/songwriter Jonathan "JR" Rotem is working behind the boards on a number of upcoming projects for artists such as Britney Spears, the Game, Mya and Mobb Deep.

In addition to producing the title track for Game's impending sophomore set "The Doctor's Advocate" (Aftermath/Interscope), Rotem is also producing cuts for Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, Olivia, Mya (whose album he says is halfway complete) and Spears.

"Britney is pretty much starting out right now," Rotem tells Billboard.com. "She doesn't have too much. It's coming along but it's at its early stages."

Born in South Africa and raised in San Francisco's Bay Area, Rotem landed his first track on Destiny's Child 2001 album "Survivor" (Columbia). He is also the producer behind Lil Kim's "Whoa," 50 Cent & Olivia's "Best Friend" and Rihanna's "SOS (Rescue Me)." The latter cut is currently No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"I'm always shooting for a hit single and there's always talk of it because that's the sound that I'm trying to bring," says Rotem, who has future plans work with Freeway, JoJo and Fabolous, among others.

Rotem has also launched his own production company, to which "SOS" co-writer Evan Bogart is presently signed. "We're taking our time looking for the right artist," says Rotem. "Right now I'm in the studio with so many people that it would definitely take the right artist to make me want to focus on that."

I actually agree, I think she's getting back to her career. We haven't seen too much of her lately. Sure she might want to stay out of the limelight due to the Sean situation. But you do have to wonder if she's working on the CD and apparently rumors have her trying to get back in shape.

She was seen yesterday out and about. So I do think she's getting ready. The CD might not be done yet. But it's definately getting ready.

Kevin Makes List For Worst Things To Happen In Music
This is from the current issue of Blener magazine. It counts down the worst things to happen in music. Kevin made the list:

#12. Kevin Federline
Golfing and wifebeaters? Whatever. Multiple baby mamas? Hey, do your thing. Even the rapping isn't that bad. But snatching away our favorite pop star -- that cannot be forgiven. Two years ago, BRITNEY SPEARS was America's sexy sweetheart, then the ex-backup-dancer pounced, and it was bye-bye 'Toxic,' hello diapers and Cheetos.
