It's official: Britney gives birth to ANOTHER baby boy

From USmagazine.com

Pop star Britney Spears, 24, gave birth to a baby boy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on September 12, a family source confirms to Us Weekly.

This is her second child with husband Kevin Federline, joining older brother, Sean Preston, who turns 1-year-old on September 14. Federline also has two children with his ex, Shar Jackson, a daughter, Kori, 4, and a son, Kaleb, 2. Spears and Federline, 28, celebrate their second wedding anniversary on September 18.

The couple have spent the last month preparing for the new edition to their family. They recently finished painting the new nursery in neutral hues fit for a boy or a girl.

On August 18, Spears went on a shopping excursion to LIFESIZEkids at Fred Segal Melrose with her son Sean Preston, her bodyguard and two friends. Her first purchase? A Bugaboo Chameleon stroller (retail price: $879.00).

“She loves the stroller and kept putting Sean Preston in and bouncing him up and down to make sure he was happy in it before buying it,” says an eyewitness.

The pop princess – who was friendly and cheerful with the staff -- later bought a frame and a photo album at World Avenue home furnishings. "She just said how happy she is right now and how excited she is for the new baby,” says a source.

Indeed, on August 30, when a passerby in Malibu, California, asked the singer when her baby was due, Spears confessed that she couldn't wait to meet the littlest Federline. "I'm ready to have my baby now!" she replied.

A rep for the couple could not be reached for comment.

Congrats to Britney!!!!

What a week. Sean's 1st birthday on Thursday and her second anniversary with Kevin on Monday, the 18th.

Now we just need People's story on this. A statement at least. And a name.

It will be interesting to see what she names this one.

Is it just me or is it kind of ironic that the day Britney's second child is born, Justin's second solo album is released. Hmmmmmm.

Britney's Down-Low Delivery?

Britney Spears has reportedly given birth to her second child, a boy, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. While there hasn't been an official confirmation from her camp, numerous sources are offering up information as to how the happy occasion went down.

According to a source, Brit checked in to the hospital under an assumed name -- using the first name Pebbles -- last evening. The baby was delivered by Cesarean section at shortly after 2:00 a.m., weighed in at 6 lbs. 11 oz and was 19 inches long.

Our source indicates she deliberately led everyone to believe it was a girl but always knew she was having a boy.
So there are still some mysteries to this baby story LOL.

Thank God the baby's name won't be Jailynn now.

Could this be another Britney birth hoax. Like the one on the 7th. After months of speculation of it being a girl by magazines (they were right about Britney's first being a boy). We have this news of a boy...

Wierd that People.com haven't annouced it as a rumor or fact.

And apparently Britney's rep has said, it's just speculation when contacted. They refuse to confirm the sex of the child.

Maybe it's true...

But something is odd. If the birth happened early this morning, why no news. By now. Even with the time difference between LA and the East Coast.

Mags Deliver Britney Baby News
by Joal Ryan

Is Britney Spears a new mom? Or an old sly one?

Reports were rampant Tuesday that Spears had given birth to her second child, a boy, at a Los Angeles hospital.

There was no confirmation or denial from Spears' camp. The office for Spears' publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, said it had no information. It referred calls to Spears' label, Jive Records. The rep there, Sonia Muckle, did not return calls seeking comment.

The National Enquirer and Us Weekly were the two most prominent publications to advance the baby story. The Enquirer was first out with a report on its Website that a child, weighing 6 pounds and 11 ounces, was born at 2 a.m. Tuesday. Us Weekly, on its Website, agreed on the sex--a boy--and noted the birth had gone down at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. (Playing it safe, paparazzi also were said to be camping out a few miles away at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica.)

The Enquirer sourced its story to "insiders"; Us Weekly to "a family source." Spears has slammed, and sued, both publications in the past.

Meanwhile, People, the singer's favored publication for news releases and announcements, was curiously mum on the nursery front, as was Spears' official Website.

The baby boy reports were surprising in that up until Tuesday, the baby boy was a girl--at least according to stork-watchers who confidently predicted an XX-chromosonal bundle of joy for the pop singer. The Enquirer was among those in the it's-a-girl camp, reporting in its latest issue that Spears planned to name her newborn Jailynn.

Sources tell E! News that Spears' camp definitely has been working--and buying presents--on the assumption the baby was to be a girl.

Spears, 24, and husband Kevin Federline, 28, welcomed their first child, son Sean Preston, last Sept. 14.
It looks to be true. Just don't know if it's truly a boy or a girl. Apparently pictures show Sean looking out a window of a California hospital.

I guess we shall see soon... One way or another.

Spears reportedly delivers 6-pound second son via C-section on Tuesday

Sept. 12: Britney Spears gave birth to her second son early Tuesday morning. MSNBC.com's Dara Brown reports.
MSNBC.com

Britney Spears gave birth to her second son early Tuesday morning, according to the National Enquirer and US Weekly. The 6-pound, 11-ounce baby reportedly made his debut just before 2 a.m. in a Los Angeles area hospital. MTV.com also reported the birth, citing a source close to the family who refused to say whether it was a boy or a girl.

A representative for Spears dismissed the reports, telling MTV.com they were "speculation."

The baby's arrival came two days short of the first birthday of Spears and husband Kevin Federline's first son, Sean Preston. Rumors were swirling around celebrity blog sites that Spears planned to have the birth induced on Thursday so that the siblings could share the same birthday.

According to the Enquirer report, Spears' mother Lynn and sister Jamie Lynn, along with Federline, were present at the birth.

Federline also has two children from a previous relationship with actress Shar Jackson — a 4-year-old daughter named Kori and a 2-year-son, Kaleb.

Access Hollywood is sure it's a boy LOL. Apparently they got confirmation from Britney's father, Jamie.

Although in the new info, doesn't specify the baby's sex.

So I guess we shall see. But this is very confusing.

Why not annouce the birth of the baby. It's around the internet for hours now.

When Acesss Hollywood Executive Producer Rob Silverstein congratulated Mr. Spears, he said, “Thank you!, we appreciate your concern. Everything is great.”
So unless all media got it very wrong. And it's twins, and they are hiding the second baby LOL.

It's a boy. People.com has finally commented on the birth.

Still no name yet...

Britney Spears & Kevin Federline Have a Boy

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have welcomed their second son together, a source close the family has confirmed to PEOPLE.

The baby boy, who was born just before 2 a.m. Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital, was delivered via a scheduled C-section.

"Kevin had a smile on his face. He looked happy and upbeat," says an observer.

The whole thing, says a source, was smooth – just as the mom-to-be had predicted to PEOPLE back in August, saying childbirth "will be a piece of cake."

Spears, 24, and Federline, 28, already have a son, Sean Preston, who was born Sept. 14 last year. For Federline, the new arrival is his fourth child. He also has a daughter Kori, 4, and son Kaleb, 2, with actress Shar Jackson.

Spears first publicly confirmed this pregnancy during a May 9 visit to the Late Show with David Letterman. "Don't worry, Dave, it's not yours," she joked to the host, who responded: "Oh. Well, I think that's good news for both of us."

The birth of their second child comes as Spears and Federline celebrate their second anniversary: The couple wed on Sept. 18, 2004. The pair began talking about starting a family soon after. "I can see myself as a mom. Next year at 23, I am so there," she told PEOPLE shortly after the wedding.

Just four days short of the couple's first wedding anniversary, she had accomplished that goal by having Sean Preston.

The timing of baby No. 2's arrival may have been a surprise – Spears has said the pregnancy wasn't planned – but expanding her brood was never a question for the domesticity-craving pop star. Sean Preston "is going to be traveling on the road with me, so I think it will be good to have (a sibling) there with him," she told PEOPLE last month.

For Federline's part, the aspiring rapper told PEOPLE after his performance at the Teen Choice Awards last month, that he planned to take time off until after the baby was born. "I'm really going to kick back and wait and see when this baby is going to come, spend my time with my family and my wife," he said.

As for being pregnant a second time so quickly after the first, Spears said she's been happy to indulge her cravings for ice chips and chocolate, but having gained some 40 lbs., has also been frustrated at not having time to get back into the shape she was before becoming a mom. "I feel like I've been pregnant for 10 years!" she said.

Spears vowed that after the birth of her second child she'd get back to the gym – and back to work. "I'm definitely going to start working out in a huge way," she told PEOPLE last month.

Plus, the singer, whose last original album was 2003's In the Zone, is working on a new album due next year, which she describes as "cooler than ever – fun, upbeat and sexy."

I was thinking Jamie too. But then there are already two Jamie's. Her father and sister. Maybe nickname JJ if it is...

Congrats to Britney.

Britney does have a habit of getting everyone talking about her...

Did Britney do it again? Baby birth rumors swirl

Children stand next to a poster of a pregnant and nude Britney Spears in a subway station in Tokyo August 28, 2006. Rumors swirled on September 12 that the pop star had given birth to her second baby, and that contrary to tabloid predictions, it was a boy.. REUTERS/Toshiyuki Aizawa (JAPAN)LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Rumors swirled on Tuesday that pop star Britney Spears had given birth to her second baby, and that contrary to tabloid predictions, it was a boy.

Spears, 24, was reported by several tabloid outlets to have had the baby at a Los Angeles-area hospital early on Tuesday morning. But details were scarce, and Spears and her representatives were keeping mum.

The syndicated TV show "Access Hollywood" reported on its Web site that it had confirmed the birth with the performer's father, Jamie Spears, who said he had already seen his grandchild, adding, "Everything is great."

Us Weekly, citing an unnamed family source, said the child was a boy. Life&Style magazine said Spears' husband, Kevin Federline, sent a text message to a family insider saying: "Break out the cigars! We got a baby boy in the house!"

But Spears' publicists declined to comment on the media accounts.

"We have nothing to report and when we have we will let you know," Sonia Muckle, Spears' spokeswoman at her Jive Records label, told Reuters late on Tuesday.

If the reports prove correct, the baby was born just two days short of the birthday of Spears and Federline's first son's birthday. Sean Preston turns 1-year-old on September 14.

The former teen idol, who posed nude for Harper's Bazaar magazine when she was six months pregnant, had led celebrity magazines to believe she was expecting a girl. Some reports in the past week had even said she planned to name the child Jamilyn, after her younger sister Jamie and her mother Lynne.

Spears announced she was pregnant with her second child during a surprise appearance in May on the CBS "Late Show with David Letterman."

And Britney's Baby Makes Two...
by Joal Ryan

And so, it has come to pass: Britney Spears has more babies than Grammys.

The onetime chart-topper gave birth to her second child, a boy, about 2 a.m. Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital, a source confirmed to E! News.

The newborn--name not yet known--weighed in at 6 pounds and 11 ounces, per the National Enquirer, which was first out with the nursery news.

Spears endured her labor day at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Us Weekly said.

Up until Tuesday, the singer's baby boy was a baby girl, at least according to stork watchers, who confidently predicted an XX-chromosomal bundle of joy named Jailynn for the performer.

The XY-equipped offspring is the second for Spears and husband Kevin Federline in the past 12 months. Their firstborn, Sean Preston, arrived last Sept. 14.

Reports of the latest Spears-Federline production were rampant Tuesday, fueled by Enquirer and Us Weekly Website postings. As of late Tuesday afternoon, the couple's camp still had not formally confirmed or denied the stories, although Spears' father, Jamie, was indirectly quoted as telling Access Hollywood that he'd seen the new baby.

An even more prolific procreator than Spears, Federline is now officially the father of four, including two from a previous relationship with former Moesha actress Shar Jackson.

On average, the 28-year-old Federline has fathered a baby every seven years. If one throws out his presumed prepuberty years, the aspiring rapper and penny proponent has averaged, from age 13 on, one child tax credit every 3.75 years.

Spears, 24, announced her latest pregnancy in May on the Late Show with David Letterman. In June, she showed off her pregnancy, bare stomach and all, on the cover of Harper's Bazaar.

Spears' first year as a mother was marked by paparazzi-driven controversy--and more than one visit from social workers.

In February, the "Oops" singer was scrutinized for driving an SUV with son Sean Preston on her lap. In April, she and Federline were quizzed about a reputed head injury to the baby. No formal investigation was opened, and Spears and Federline were not deemed responsible for the injury--said to have occurred in an accidental fall from a high chair.

"I can't go anywhere without someone judging me," Spears told NBC's Matt Lauer in June.

The baby-in-the-lap-while-driving thing, the Louisiana-born singer explained, was an old Spears family tradition: "We're country."

Spears, once a teen pop queen thanks to "...Baby One More Time," "Sometimes" and more hits, hasn't released an album of new material in nearly three years. She won her lone Grammy in 2004 for Best Dance Recording for "Toxic."

Some new information.

Hope all is well for Britney and the baby....

And a RUMORED name has popped up. I don't know if it's true, and probably isn't. But one of the names flying around is, the name "Sutton Pierce". If true, he would have the same initials as Sean.

But time will tell.... But it is interesting, this level of silence.

Britney keeping mum about new baby
Singer reportedly forced to have emergency delivery due to pre-eclampsia

LOS ANGELES - Pop star Britney Spears has given birth to her second baby in 12 months, according to celebrity magazines, but the middle-of-the-night delivery may not have gone as planned.

Publicists for Spears declined to confirm or deny Wednesday widespread reports the former teen idol gave birth at 2 a.m. Tuesday to a 6-pound, 11-ounce son at a Los Angeles hospital.

Life & Stylemag.com quoted Spears husband Kevin Federline on its Web site Wednesday as confirming the birth, saying “Mom and baby are doing well, thanks, but we’re all really tired.”

Spears, 24, joyfully announced the arrival of her first child, Sean Preston, on her Web site the day after he was born Sept. 14 2005. There was no such announcement early on Wednesday.

Lifeandstylemag.com and the National Enquirer said Spear’s second baby arrived in a planned Caesarean section, like her first. But In Touch Weekly said Federline rushed Spears to a hospital ahead of time because she was suffering from pre-eclampsia — a pregnancy-related condition marked by high-blood pressure — that turned acute.

“The delivery was not planned. It became urgent. Britney and Kevin did not want to take any chances,” In Touch quoted an unnamed family insider as saying.

In another twist to the obsessive tabloid media coverage of Spears and her private life, the new baby was not the girl that Britney had led the media to believe she was expecting.

Celebrity magazines had Spears shopping for pink baby clothes and accessories in recent weeks and claimed she planned to name the child Jamilyn after her younger sister Jamie and her mother Lynne.

Spears put her phenomenal recording career on hold after she married Federline in September 2004 but has continued to make headlines.

Child welfare authorities visited her twice last spring after she was photographed driving a car with her infant son on her lap, and after Sean Preston fell from a high chair and hit his head. No charges were brought.

She announced her pregnancy on a late night TV chat show and posed nude for Harper’s Bazaar magazine when she was six months pregnant. Shortly afterward she complained she was being hounded by paparazzi and appealed to them to leave her alone.
The mystery goes on...

Britney Baby Name Game
by Joal Ryan

One blog is pulling for Hamlet. The kid, presumably, is pulling for anything but Jailynn.

All baby name bets were off with Tuesday's arrival of Britney Spears' second child--a boy, not a girl.

Spears may or may not have been caught off guard by the baby's gender, but the celebrity-watching world sure was.

Reports leading up to the pop singer's labor day declared she was expecting a daughter to be named Jailynn--a tribute to her father, Jamie, her mother, Lynne, and her sister, Jamie Lynn, and the presumed palatable alternative to JamieLynneJamieLynn.

Fully 75-80 percent of the entries for CelebrityBabyNamesBlog.com's "What Will Britney Spears Name Her New Baby?" contest through Tuesday were fit for girls, editor Neil Street said.

But a 6-pound, 11-ounce boy was welcomed by Spears and her family 2 a.m. Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old entertainer was scheduled to undergo a Cesarean section at Cedars this Saturday, but took an unscheduled trip there after experiencing discomfort Monday evening, a source tells E! Online.

Cornered outside the hospital on Tuesday, husband Kevin Federline, 28, told LifeandStylemag.com, "Mom and baby are doing well, thanks.

"But we're all really tired."

Apparently to prove that it spoke to the right Federline, the site noted the aspiring rapper was wearing "a black T-shirt and baggy black shorts"--in other words, the usual.

Spears' and Federline's newborn is their second child together. Elder son Sean Preston turns one on Thursday.

There was no word yet from the couple's camp as to the newcomer's name.

Among the baby-name contest entries at CelebrityBabyNamesBlog.com, a tongue-in-cheek Street said his favorite was Hamlet Joseph.

"But I don't think she's going to go for it," Street said.

The editor also didn't think Spears would go the way of magician Penn Jillette, father of Moxie Crimefighter and Zolten.

"Being the American icon she is, I trust Britney will go for a good, solid, traditional name," Street said. "So, I don't think we'll be seeing a Rocket or an Ace or a Zolten."

Street's personal preference?

"I think she should name him Barney after her [maternal] grandfather," Street said. "I think that would be great."

We don't know. This is a wierd situation. Wonder why no real info from Britney's camp. After Sean was born, there was instant information. Although there was questioning over Sean's name for several days afterwards. I hope Britney and the baby are okay.

I don't mind the name, Sutton. It different. But not too different. But I still don't think that is the name. It came from nowhere.

But who knows.
