I'm not so much into Christmas either - sure I love that I get to have a few days off and that the shops look so cheerful but ... like I said, advertising starting in October is getting on my nerves

You know, I like the overall feel to christmas, the cheerfulness and all. But on christmas eve, I just can't get the same feeling as everyone else. Don't know why though. Sure, it's nice, but it's not something I've been waiting for all year

True. That could be it And I'm actually quite unhappy with what christmas has turned into, which is "who gets the best and most expensive/thoughtful gift?". It's not about what it used to be about anymore, which is after all, the birth of Jesus. It's turned into a shopping-holiday, and nothing else.

exactly, just like valentines day (now that's a "holiday" I can't stand!) and all other holidays. I don't know why it has to be this way

I like V-Day, even though I'm always single. But I'm not a Christmas person.

I would have loved to have seen an A/I Valentines Day. I'm sure there's a fic for it.
