I have a strong suspicion that she is making things up as she goes along, and that the consistancy therefore isnt all good always, but i guess that is to be expected in such a long fic.

I dont. I am too nitpicky to dare. even my multichaptered fics have a planned story arch from the beginning.

if she is going to make up that sort of stuff, she could at least try to make it a little less obvious that it wasnt quite planned that way

Ok, then maybe it is just my all too keen eye for detail that is getting the best of me again

I just think that Spike have done quite a character turn, from his defiant, cocky self, who throughout his trials have never surrendered to anyone, and who, in the flashbacks we see, has mostly had to desl with previous cruel masters, to the terrified wreck who was abused at the training centre.

and then there is the inconsistancy i mentioned before, with Julian, who when introduced, has made such great progress towards security the last few months, and then intimidated by soldiers for the first time for a long while. But then suddenly, he is suposed to have been under their control and monitoring, and constant terrorizing, for the same couple of months.
