In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.

Yes. Back when I had cable, I would just live for USA marathons of SVU.

I've certainly enjoyed a few marathons or random episode watches when I had access to payTV here . Unfortunately don't have much of that sort of thing here now without it. But they did start airing it from the beginning on one of the channels.

I binged the show recently on Hulu, I watch a lot of crime shows and this just came up one day.

I think the show was in it's 3rd season before I started in on watching SVU specifically. I was already watching the OG L&O but it's like I was living under a rock and didn't know about it!

I love how well each show did but while I loved SVU the most it's nice that there are variations on the shows.

Cool Nice you got to watch a marathon to get into it & catch up a bit. It is impossible to watch everything on 'to watch' lists sometimes I think Good luck catching up

24 years...there's lots to catch up on

I would usually watch episodes on USA, there's like hours and hours of marathons weekly.

^^ There are some channels that marathon a few drama/crime shows. I know E! seems to show Criminal Minds a lot and L&O from 1990's onward. As well as CSI

There's a TV channel we get for free in the US called ION Television and every Saturday they do an SVU marathon from (usually) 8 AM to 1 AM Sunday (CST). Yeah, that's how I spend my Saturdays, cleaning while I watch SVU lol.

Yep, ION TV is a great channel too. It used to be PAX TV back in the day. I was worried when I couldn't find PAX and all the great programming and felt relieved to find that they that just renamed the network.

Sucks when they rename things & confuse you but at least you did find it!

There used to be a payTV channel here which would air lots of reruns of SVU & sometimes marathons or at least a few episodes in a row. It was probably around season 9 that I started watching but I watched all the previous seasons thanks to the payTV channel. Free to air channels here don't do marathons. They also all own different seasons here which is frustrating to understand . One has started L&O & SVU from the beginning on a Sunday night though. It was two episodes of each but looks like it has gone to one episode of L&O & three of SVU now. I wasn't going to watch because I already watch a lot but changed my mind so going to start SVU from S2
