I think it's more to do with recognizing Rhaenyra kids as legitimate over Laena kids who clearly look like Velaryons

Yeah, plus with Daemon now married to Rhaenyra.. Her (legitimate) grandchildren are a part of Rhaenyra's family. I don't think Rhaenys would make moves against that, for example.

They were never going to be friends imo. There's still some underlying bitterness there from the past. Yes, Rhaenys moved past it but those feelings don't just go away imo.

I just wanted to hug Rhaenys for the grief she was dealing with. She was comforting her grandbabies, but no one was comforting her.
