It's good that Luke was a father figure to Rory. She needed that presence in her life.

I wish there was more Luke/Rory stuff, but what we got was awesome. It would have been cool if we saw Rory home when Luke/Lorelai were dating and them having a movie night. The whole of S5 when LL were together we didn't see Rory with them at all except for the disastrous double date with Dean. Missed opportunities. I loved how happy she sounded when she introduced him as her future step-father in S6. So sweet.

That's true, Lucy.

One of my favorite moments is in S1 when Luke blew up balloons and made Rory a coffee cake for her birthday. Such a softie (as Rory says).
