Yep, they are. That also applies to The Music Man on Broadway, critics panned it but audiences are loving it and that ultimately is what is selling tix so that’s what matters most.

oh this couple that I’m referring to by the way are Betty and Archie - they’re featured in my gif icon

update: they got engaged in last night’s new episode the season finale

but plot twist…at the end of the episode

there was a comet coming to hit the town

and it seems one of the side effects of stopping it is they got transported to a 50s timeline and they’re teens again in high school with some of their memories gone

so next season will probably be angst

start with them remembering and finding their way back to each other

before they get back to the main timeline
