watched the new Top Gun movie with my mom in IMAX yesterday and we both really enjoyed it

Those Top Gun billboards were all over Times Square in NYC. My brother saw it a few days ago and said he really enjoyed it.

the emotions just really hit for me in this new movie

Why was it so emotional for you? I’m just curious as I wouldn’t equate TG with an emotional response.

I never watched the OG one so I don't think I'll be seeing this new one.

I'm excited for the last Jurassic movie. Less than 2 weeks now.

mostly it was the scenes with Iceman and the relationship between Maverick and Goose’s son and how Goose’s death is still felt in/carried on into this movie

also just the emotional nostalgia that hits when that familiar music plays at the beginning of the movie

Oh, I see. I didn’t realize how close to the OG film it actually was. That’s nice to hear. And yes, the music was iconic.
