They are not -that- bad but you've gotten better at making art, yes.

I seriously feel so out of the RJ ship sometimes, since I love Logan so much and so many hate his guts. That makes me sad, since I appreciate each guy in Rory's life for the importance they had in it. AND that includes Jess.

Alright so I didn't like his actions half the time but at that point in her life, he mattered to her. He was important to maturing her character - to know what a relationship shouldn't be like but also how to really be in love. Since I always have this feeling that Jess was her first real -love-, whereas Dean was more just platonic love. She loved him, but was in love with Jess.

I still think RL had the strongest connection out of them all though.

I think Jess had a big role in the way Rory ended up. I think she became a stronger person because of it.

I think I'm only a semi NITL'er, because I liked R/J up until the point they got bf/gf.

I liked afterwards as well but after season 6's episode 8, I just wasn't a real shipper anymore. They had both changed so much that I didn't find what I once loved about them in the pairing anymore. (They were my first GG ship for those who don't know )

I don't really mind them per say. I guess it's like Dan/Serena on Gossip Girl. I'm not a shipper but I like them in some scenes, lol.

Well I used to like him but then I rewatched S3 and the supposed new Jess, him coming and the writers trying to make Logan look bad really killed him in my eyes. I agree he was necessary to give her new experiences and to find out what the wrong guy was but I don't believe she loved him. I believed she only loved two guys Dean as her first love and Logan as her adult love, but that's just me.

I had nothing against Jess but he treated her badly I think he was just like trying to get her, it's like a kid in a candy store you want something so bad and then you have it it loses it's value or you don't want it anymore.

^^ ITA, I felt that way too. Seriously, I've had my love/hate moments with Jess. The character that is, RJ is good for me.

But the main thing I hate is like you said Maria, they made him come back to make LOGAN look bad. WTF was up that? It didn't even make sense to me. Jess is so not better than Logan, nor is he better than Rory, as he tried to make it seem in The Real Paul Anka. Sometimes the guy gets on my nerves.

Its why I am really glad Milo said no to Amy to go back, because who knows how much damage they would have done to Logan's character. Kind of like with Dean I feel they kind of dumbed him down in S2 to make Jess more appealing its why I find the Dean/Jess love triangle so nauseating.

I actually like watching Jess with Luke. I mean, I hated how he treated Luke sometimes, but they were funny together and I liked when they explored that relationship. But I don't like RJ as a couple.

I agree with you guys. It's ironic actually, I never really hated Jess as much as I do until episode 8 of S6 when they tried (key word tried) to make it look like his character changed. After watching that episode and rewatching S3 again, I realized how much I hated his character. There were moments few and far that I didn't mind him in but those moments weren't enough to make me like him even a little bit.

And you guys are totally right about them trying to make Jess look good by making Dean and Logan look bad.

I found it really lame that they tried to dumb them down to make Jess look good. I don't remember Logan ever being mentioned as an alcoholic before episode 8 of S6. They really tried to make Logan look like such a jerk just so people would be swooning over Jess again. Just to redeem a character that was way too far past redeeming. All they managed to do was make Jess look like a hypocritical, selfish, contradictory jerk! His last appearence on the show before 6x08, he was telling Rory to do EXACTLY what she was doing and he yelled at her for it! Then he judged a man very important to Rory that he barely even knew similar to what he did with Dean and then left looking like he did something incredible! I don't believe for one second that he was the one to knock sense into Rory to go back to school. Rory did that all by herself with no help from anyone, Jess was simply at the right place at the right time!

They did the same thing with Dean. They tried (again, keyword tried) to make Dean look like a jealous jerk just to make Jess look good. I found Dean's jealousy completely reasonable. Jess' intentions with Rory were clear from day 1! Dean tried to be nice to Jess and all Jess did was mess with him and try to punch him out!

It's actually pretty funny that they have to make someone look bad just to make Jess look good. Jess can't look good by himself, they have to force it.

Yours don't look so bad. I actually really like them, especially the one at the bottom of the first post. The coloring is awesome, Jess' face is kinda gone but the less I see of him, the better. Maybe we should spiff up the first post a bit. Update it and redo some of the banners. Up to you guys though.

I hated what they did to Dean. He was such a sweetheart and then they made him jealous and someone who cheated on and yelled at his wife. He was NOT like that prior to S4. All the Jess redeeming was dumb, too. You know, almost every character I like was made into a jerk at some point in the show just to create "drama." I watch the earlier seasons and it makes me sick to see how they changed some of the characters. Ugh, I'm in rant mode today, lol.
