Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing okay! I'm doing good. We're getting the keys to our new home next month (the 23rd) and the move is getting closer aswell. There is some stress, but I'm sure we'll manage. The most important thing is that we are both looking forward to the move very much. Also had my 30th birthday a week ago. Wish I could have celebrated it with more people, but at least my best friend came over to celebrate. Getting a bit Corona-tired too. The Netherlands are in a soft lockdown at the moment and there's no real prospect of things getting any better any time soon. The government still doesn't know how to test properly, but instead just close restaurants.....even when there are barely any people who got sick in restaurants. The schools remain open though, even though that's the spot with a high percentage of infections. It all feels really random At least we're watching a lot of Gilmore Girls these days (almost done with S4 now), which always improves my mood.

I meant to tell everyone yesterday that Lindsay will be MIA for the next few days or so because she's recovering from a surgical procedure she had done a few days ago. She's doing well and the surgery was successful so yay for that!

Ingmar, it's so good to hear you're getting the keys to your new home next month! Y'all must be so excited. OMG it was your birthday the other week! Happy Birthday, my friend! ! Ugh, I know, everyone is getting a case of corona fatigue. And it's spiking just as the experts warned would happen come Fall. Some of what governments are implementing make absolutely no sense. As much as a pain in the ass it is, schools need to go to virtual learning until we can get this virus under control. Or at least have tighter restrictions put in place like social distancing and mask mandates. Anyway, I'm glad you're watching GG and it's improving your mood. I seriously wanna get lost in Stars Hollow until this wretched election cycle is over. :/

And thank you! Agreed about the schools. It also bothers me that there are still so many people who go outside while they're sick. Ruining it for the rest of us. I know some people don't know they're sick, so I'm not talking about them of course. Same for employers who demand people go to the office; knowing the employee in question has symptoms.

Many good episodes to look forward then! We just finished ''Afterboom'' later in the season.

The government expects employers to encourage people to stay home, but it’s just a strong advice at this point. I know a lot of people who are forced to work in the office, because they’d be fired if they stay home. Some employers even want you to come in when you have symptoms, it’s crazy. Employers are scared that employees will lie about being sick, so they can stay at home. I wish the government would just forbid people to work in the office, unless when it’s really impossible to work at home (hospital workers, package deliveries, staff in supermarkets, etc).

Wow! That long ago? So, this re-watch must feel pretty fresh but familiar.

Ah, I see. It would be a whole lot more convenient to require all people able to work from home to work remotely and keep only essential places open. But there are a lot of small businesses and shops that need at least some kind of compensation or loan to get by in the meantime. It's all so headache-inducing.
