Thanks for those pics, Alexis. So who is the Steffi girl, and who did she play on GG?

That picture does remind me a little of Alexis, as much as anyone can, which is pret-ty difficult.

That is a wonderful picture of Alexis with her. Also, young Lorelai looks much better than she did in DEAR, but poor girl had to pretend she was in labor, so it's understandable.

I think she was supposed to play young Rory in the flashback scenes of DEAR but the scenes got cut of something.

A scene of Lorelai and Rory saying goodbye to the inn, moving out. I remember reading the script sides for that scene, but for some reason none of it stuck. Something like Rory was running around and Lorelai grabbed her and hugged her and was like "Say goodbye." I don't know, really can't remember, but it would have been cute.

Every stick of furniture has been moved out and the inn is now completely empty.

LORELAI
Could be gone when we get back. Or changed into something else. John said a school might buy it...

RORY
That would be good.

LORELAI
I suggested a strip club, but he was sticking with the school.

RORY
Should we have brought a camera?

LORELAI
I don't want to remember it like this.

During the following, Rory and Lorelai look around at the room lost in thought. Young Rory runs out of the kitchen with Young Lorelai following.

YOUNG LORELAI
Rory, don't run around the lobby!

YOUNG RORY
(still running)
But this is our house.

YOUNG LORELAI
Not for long.

LORELAI
Ten years we lived here. And you didn't want to leave.

RORY
Of course - I was the Connecticut Eloise.

Young Lorelai playfully grabs Young Lorelai and swings her around. Young Rory giggles as she does.

YOUNG LORELAI
I gotcha, munchkin, I gotcha!

YOUNG RORY
Are we going to live here forever?

YOUNG LORELAI
No. We'll have our own house one day.

LORELAI
Took you a while to accept that our ??? house didn't come with a ???.

RORY
I had very high standards.

YOUNG LORELAI
You're going to have your own room.

YOUNG RORY
I don't want my own room...

YOUNG LORELAI
Just your books need their own room.

RORY
We're not going to be sad...right?

LORELAI
We're too busy...

RORY
And we have too much not to be sad about.

LORELAI
That we do.

YOUNG RORY
I want to live with you forever.

YOUNG LORELAI
Whatever you say, Baby Jane.

I love Season 1, looking back from today.

Rory with her little braids in her hair. (She had those for a few years!) Haha, can you imagine her doing that now, or even more unbelievably, Alexis doing that with her hair?

Such innocence... even her voice seemed younger. Yes, I do realize people tend to age and grow up. It's just a novel concept on celluloid sometimes, so seeing it. Aaahh, can't wait for Season 1 DVD!

As much as I love Season 1, it's been great seeing Rory develop into who she is now. I wouldn't want her to be trapped in Season 1-ness, despite the fact her cuteness spellbound everyone.

Hail to the baby Rory butt!
