Interesting topic here, since I just talked about buying a house with my niece and her fiance. My partner and I are just renting, and even though I would love to have a place of our own, I don't feel like there is any hurry to do that. It is just so annoying that everyone tries to tell us to buy a house, and that it is what you are suppose to do

Renting is easy, our oven broke couple of years ago and our landlord just brought us a new one the very next week. The main reason I probably would buy a house, is because I want to peace you get in a house. We live in rowhouse at the moment, and that means there are neighbors to think about.

I want to move into a house to the middle of nowhere, and be left alone

i'm looking at buy an apartment at the moment. the market is crazy here. i want quiet and personal space but i'm afraid i'll have to stay at my mom's longer :-/

renting market isn't any better. there's a lack of vacancy and never know what kind of landlord i could get.
