I don't know why it's only just occurred to me but Phillip married Marina in S1 and we see them together in S2. I've read ahead a little about how Eloise and Phillip get in contact so does that mean Marina will have to die for them to then get in contact and start their courtship?

Marina does die in the books, she has mental issues and drowns. But i don't think they'll do that one the show, she'll probably have some kind of illness. It just seems too dark for Bridgerton and also Ruby, who plays Marina, has mental issues of her own, so hoping they'll change it on the show!

Ah OK thank you it was just something that was bothering me, thinking about how it would all work. Thanks for clearing that up for me

I agree I hope they make it not as dark and disturbing as the books, as you said it's too dark for the show and for Ruby it would be too close for home for her to portray that when she has mental health issues of her own, maybe they will say it was an illness that led her to die.

Yeah i think they'll just mention she died of an illness, bc Ruby confirmed she won't be back recently

ah I see well that makes sense then and I am very interested to see how it all gets portrayed on screen too
