Shiri Appleby - Info about 'Havoc' - looks strange...

Hi everybody.
I was searching the net and found few disturbing informations bout "Havoc"
Let's begin:

This movie is pitiful. The story line flops, there is no real story line that is believeable. The actors, while generally good actors, are made to look like fools in this movie, and they only add to the fakeness of the movie.

The language that is used is ridiculous, if it is not immature cursing it is slang that is not believe coming from the mouth of a ex-princess(hathaway) or looks like a joke coming from an alien(gordan-levitt)

On the topic of the actors cast, the majority of them are good actors, that I had enjoyed watching previously. However after subjecting myself to Havoc, I hold little to no respect to any of these young actors and actresses, mainly Hathaway. They placed themselves in a movie that made them look like jokes. Where they pranced around acting like "gangstas" talking like fools, and showing more nudity then one would see in a porno.

Aside from the unrealistic story line, laughable script,and pathetic actors, the movie as I mentioned above, follows the lines of a porno. I have never seen so much female nudity, and sex scenes. What boggles me most is that there is so much nudity of what your supposed to believe to be underage kids. The most horrible scene that makes you sick to your stomach is Phillips getting initiated into a mexican gang, shows her, quite visually, having sex with two men at once. Everything else in the movie seems to follow that same vulgar line.

I can not justly suggest this movie to anyone. I saw it because it was free screening, I wish I hadn't.

Appleby played a fairly small role, she was a friend of allie & emily (the main female characters)
she was in a few scenes when they were out partying and doing drugs. appleby was played off as the sort of goodygoody since a few times in the scene she was in she talked about calling the police to the party.

her haircut btw in the film is weird! i was so used to seeing her with long hair, this time is cropped pretty short with bangs

Havoc -

Shiri is part of a strong supporting cast in this gritty drama. There have been some pre-release showings and the word is that the film has lots of sex, nudity and drugs. But Shiri plays a "goody-goody" character - phew! That's a relief! Still good to see she's not afraid of appearing in controversial films.

It looks like this movie won't be as good as I thought

I've read quite a few things about this film and most lean towards the first reviews slamming of it.

I'm glad Shiri's part is what it is at least.

I can only hope its not a realistic impression of LA high school age happenings.... though from lots of things I read and hear... it may not be all that far off.

wow... Now it makes me want to see it even more(since they hate it)

at least they said nothing bad about Shiri(I am glad she is playing a goodie-goodie) I am not ready for her to play a bad girl yet lol

Sounds pretty bad. At least Shiri hasn't been slammed. Thank goodness for smaller roles in this case.

I think it would be great if Shiri were to play a bad girl. It would show how wide her scope of acting is, and if she can be diverse enough to pull off the bad girl/tougher roles that she hasn't really done yet.

She's very talented and I believe she has it in her, but she hasn't really even begun to show her talent because she's pretty much been typecast as a goody-goody. For once I'd like to see her in a real role, or one that shows her as something other than what she has already played. I think if she could pull it off it would captivate her audience to see that side of her and her acting, which could get her a lot of needed attention. She needs something that will grab your attention, not more of the same roles she's already done.

That's just my opinion. Thank goodness for her role in this case though, seems just about everyone got slammed. Maybe a bad script rather than bad acting...hmm.

But congrats to Shiri on this role none the less, can't wait to see the movie.

I argee that it will be nice when Shiri lands roles far from what we have know her as. Three times(?) a waitress so far.
As I haven't seen ATFD and of course we have her upcoming roles, in 'Skin Horse', 'Darklight' and 'When Do We Eat' it will be nice seeing the changes and a differant aspect of her abilities.

But.... It would be very hard to take for me personally, seeing her in the lead of 'Havoc' as its described in the reviews I've seen.

I think she is taking wise choices in films,I bet this is her plan, to first play all the good roels...then Bam she will hit us with a riskey movies where she playes a bad girl.You never know with Shiri

Its interesting, I haven't read much about Havoc and the reviews have caught me by surprise, but it doesn't stop me from seeing it if and when it will get released in Australia.

What a shocker! i was totally thinking it would be a good moive. But, geez sounds like a flop with overly done nudity and graphic.

but i'm with Peachy if it hits Australia, nothing stopping me from seeing Shiri in a different role.
