I just finished watching Arcane on Netflix which is based off some video game characters that I honestly know nothing about, but it didn't matter because I loved it! I can't get over how amazing the animation was

Ooo I just looked it up and it's based on League of Legends? I've never played that so I'm not familiar with it. Cool though!

I'm not familiar with the video game either, but I definitely didn't need to be in order to follow and enjoy

Definitely NOT a show for kids though!

That always adds something I think! The same thing happened to me with Frozen where I heard all the music first then watched the movie a bit later and it's so different seeing it in context.

I think I'm the opposite. I try to avoid music because I want to hear it in the film first, but that can be hard to do sometimes

It can be! If the movie gets big enough the music is everywhere.
