I know, those are probably fans who saw the show once when it aired 15 years ago when they were kids and only remember a few of the funny scenes and nothing else lol.

In my time on the internet I've learned that there is nothing people will defend more that one of their favorite childhood shows. We are definitely seeing those come out now

I mean they were different ages in the cartoon, aang is like 12-13 while katara and sokka are more like 15-16.

Yeah so people getting freaked out about it has never made sense to me. Ever since the casting was announced people were complaing how Kiawentiio looks a lot older than Gordon and its like....yeah that's how it was in the animation too

Also with the cast aging they look a lot closer to the same age now so people were freaking out over nothing (which was what we have been saying in our little FF corner the whole time )
