Thanks for starting this thread. I have played some of The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings on the XBOX 360 a while ago & The Witcher III: Wild Hunt on the XBOX One a few years ago. I've only seen a little bit of the Netflix show titled ''The Witcher'' at this time.

MsPerfectionist 07-12-2021 03:23 PM

i never played the game. i only watched my ex played . i've rewatched too many times the netflix series

i'm quite exciting about this anime movie. when it was first announced i thought wow really?! the teaser looks good and the movie will be release sooner than i thought.

canflam 07-12-2021 03:30 PM

Yeah. Next month it's scheduled for release. I'm just learning of it.

MsPerfectionist 07-13-2021 02:31 PM

Aug 23rd

it'll be interesting to see The Witcher world in anime form. :)

canflam 07-14-2021 02:26 AM

Yes. I wonder how much Geralt will be in it. I should have season 1 of "The Witcher" watched by August 23rd, so I can see this film early on.

Arrakis 07-14-2021 06:50 AM

Is it an anime though? I mean that would only apply if it's produced by a japanese studio for netflix.

MsPerfectionist 07-14-2021 04:15 PM

it's by Studio Mir, a korean studio.

the story in the movie is way before the events of the Witcher series. u don't really have to rush binging the series. in fact, the movie could provide some background to the Witcher world if u're not familiar with it through the games and/or books.

canflam 07-16-2021 01:30 AM

Interesting. Thanks.:)

MsPerfectionist 07-16-2021 07:46 PM

my guess is this anime movie will have some scenes on the creation of witchers unless they keep that to the prequel series. the creation was not addressed in the Netflix Witcher series, they mentioned how they were created but never showed how unlike the polish Witcher series Wiedźmin.

canflam 07-17-2021 02:00 AM

I did not know it wasn't addressed in that series. Hope that is this film.

MsPerfectionist 07-17-2021 03:37 PM

i guess it's the challenge of fitting so much story in 8 episodes.

in the polish series, the story started when Geralt was a child and talked about the witcher school. there's a whole episode on how Geralt was experimented on.

in this anime movie, i expect background story on the school of wolves.

:bump:

Thanks for posting those trailers. I'll watch some of ''The Witcher'' witcher today or tomorrow.

MsPerfectionist 07-24-2021 09:33 PM

:)

i didn't even know Theo James voiced for other animated projects. should be interesting to see him as the voice of Vesemir, Geralt's mentor.

canflam 07-26-2021 10:16 PM

Yes. I forgot to watch "The Witcher" over the weekend. I did just put it on though, so I'm starting from the beginning.

Oh ok so it's a manhwa (korean version of anime) well I will give it a try for sure, could be good.

the story will be on the sacking of Kaer Morhen and explain why they can't make more witchers. it'll provide some background for the upcoming season 2 of the Witcher as Geralt goes back to Kaer Morhen.

canflam 07-28-2021 09:33 PM

Certainly seems intriguing.

Yep

Are you going to rewatch season 1 before season 2 gets released or remember most if it?

Arrakis 08-02-2021 07:28 AM

I remember most of it still.

canflam 08-04-2021 01:10 AM

OK. Good. I just started watching episode 102: "Four Marks". I'd like to watch this earlier than 1:00 A.M., but I'm awake & if my Wi-Fi can work long enough I'll be able to finish watching this episode, before I fall asleep next.

MsPerfectionist 08-10-2021 03:46 PM

i rewatched the Witcher season 1 too many times

Meanwhile, the anime movie is coming Aug 23rd
