I did hear that he was a Elvis fan so that's probably why they added that to Perry White's character. Not 100% sure but yeah... lol

That's awesome, then.

I've seen him in so many movies and TV shows before Lois & Clark when I was growing up.

He was in My Cousin Vinny right before doing Lois & Clark.

Glad they incorporated that into the show.
Makes his character that much more interesting and different.

Yeah, I have no idea where Perry White was from in the comics but it was assumed he was a northerner, yet the show made him a southerner because of Lane.

And again, he had just appeared in My Cousin Vinny the previous year.

Perry's origin in the comics? You know DC Comics better than I do, Tia. I'm more of a Marvel guy.

I found that out very early but it can be because how I loved all things Superman. So I knew Perry and Jimmy were in the comics pretty early on and in the Superman radio series.
I think based on what I’ve watched compared to the comics I’ve read, Perry White from Adventures of Superman is more like the comic book version of Perry...
Lane Smith version is sort of a little distance but a little bit of the same. Lol
Jimmy and Perry also sort of have the same relationship. Perry hates when Jimmy calls him, “Chief” her Jimmy continues to do it anyway.
And of course on this show we see how Jimmy gets to Perry as well.

However although “Adventures of Superman” Perry follows more of the comic book version, I just love Lane Smith’s portrayal so much more than any other version.
