Yes! I miss the OMAM days. There was such a thrill in all the getting and seeing pics, press, etc. I hope she goes back to Broadway really soon.

that'd be awesome if she did. I'd love for her to do another Broadway performance

If she did decide to go back again, what would you prefer - another play or a musical?

Personally, I'd love to see her do a musical. Something like If/Then or The Last 5 years. More modern and emotional, less OTT.

Hmm, I don't know. I wouldn't mind her doing both. I think that her doing a musical would be really fun because it's like a mix of both

Since she's already tried a play, a musical might be a good addition to the mix and her resume. Musicals can be tricky but like you said, it covers both acting and singing so it would be cool to see her explore that.

Dying to Be Funny: Feminism and Sexism in Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men

Quote:
A few weeks into the show, a fellow cast member passed me an article written by Leighton Meester, the actress who played Curley's Wife in the recent Broadway production starring James Franco and Chris O'Dowd. The picture she paints is one I recognised immediately. She described how the young audience 'cracks up' at her death and, just as in Birmingham, young American audiences erupt with laughter when Curley's Wife is called a 'tramp,' a 'tart' and a 'bitch' by misogynistic ranch hands. Ms Meester speaks of the feminist sub-plot in Of Mice and Men which forces us to look at our own prejudices.

'This' (OMAM) and LP are the best two projects she's done in recent times. I hope she signs up for more similar or MUCH bigger projects in the near future.
