I don't know if I like Tag . Sometimes he seems ok and then , well let me be polite , he acts like an idiot who has no clue about anything (like the fact that his fiancee isn't really in love with him ) And he is a bit of a manipulator. Carol tells him she has slept with Doug (was it the first season Thanksgiving episode) and in the next episode she has a $ 12 000 ring. Major guilt trip(uh trap).
The one Tag moment I really like is the turkey plucking scene

Me too.

Tag was... ok I guess. He was so much in love with Carol he was blind to the obvious flaws in their relationship. I mean, your girlfriend tells you she slept with her ex, more than once, and you give her a 12,000$ ring? Are you blind?
And then, leaving her at the altar... that wasn't classy at all.

What I like about this is that it doesn't seem 14 years old. Clothes/haircuts not withstanding, it stands up as a strong and relevant piece of tv writing. I remember watching it at the time and it was just so different from anything I had ever seen and so much better! Better writing/characters/actors and of course George.

And a love affair was born....

I loved the Pilot! I don't know why TNT keeps skipping season 1 lately when the new cycle begins but I wish they'd stop doing that!

I have to say Carter changed the most. From the dorky newbie (sorry but I thought he was a complete dork back then!) to a hot doc who knew what he was doing!

I have two favourite Carter scenes in the pilot. The one where he tries to put in IV in Frank (was he already Frank back then or just playing a nameless cop?) and the scene where the rest of the team is watching him ("he knows how to dress") and carter accidently hit this little bell

i love the first episode of ER

season one is one of the best seasons IMO.

i believe these quotes are from the pilot, right?

Yeah, Benton wasn't one to bitch about hours/salary compared to the nurses.

Season 1 is a phenomenal season overall and it comes second only to Season 2 in terms of adrenaline and excellence in every episode. The second season is without doubt my favourite season.

The first season was fabulous. I can't decide whether I like it better than S2 or not. But they were both phenomenal.

Yes, that's true. Never did like him, and cannot stand Gates because he's a scuzzball, but also because he reminded me so much of Shep when he first came on, in terms of the kind of character he was, and I hated him, too.
