The Witcher comics thread #1: ''Where'd you complete your training? The school of the snail?''

Welcome to the thread everyone to discuss comics of The Witcher. OK, so I'm using a quote from the game in the thread title currently, because I don't the comic or graphic novels available on me. If you have a quote from the comic & want to use it in the title let me know.

where are these comics available?

canflam 02-11-2020 05:56 PM

Bookstores likely for them in TPB for & perhaps libraries. A county west of me in the Portland Metro Area has vol. 1 House of Glass, vol. 2 Fox Children, & vol. 3 Curse of Crows, but I was just in Tigard yesterday & won't be going back in that area until the end of the month again. Hopefully then I'll be able to checkout Fox Children. For the comics separately, probably comic shops.

Thanks for the thread :)
I knew about the books and video game, but had no idea there were also comics :D that's cool!

Yes. Here's a link to the history of The Witcher comics. https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/The_Witcher_(comics) They were originally published in Poland in the 1990's. dark Horse began releasing theirs in 2015.

wickedrum 02-12-2020 04:08 PM

Si_Crazy 02-12-2020 04:13 PM

yeah, almost the same time as the first short story/book was released

wickedrum 02-12-2020 04:21 PM

it's amazing!

Si_Crazy 02-12-2020 04:37 PM

It's nice that the show was successful, it will give a boost to the books and comics (probably) :D

Nice. I'll try to get going again on this Netflix show, but the comics are great. Encourage everyone to read them if they get a chance. I know it's harder to do during this pandemic.

wickedrum 04-18-2020 02:55 PM

I definitely cannot afford to buy anything nonessential..

canflam 04-18-2020 03:01 PM

Understood. I haven't bought any comics for a while anyway. Thankfully in a county next to mine has these in TPB form at least 1 library for whenever they open again.

wickedrum 04-18-2020 03:05 PM

good idea. I might look in the library as well, once it opens
