Went thrifting today too, ended up with five books among other things

with the inflation, i feel like i get so much more at the charity shop with my 20$. i adopted 2 ikea knubbig lamps for cheap. the best item i thrifted was a pair of pure silver bangles for 5$

and it was 10% off that day

they were all oxidized but looks like new once cleaned.

ahh i'll buy candles eventually. i wasn't allow candles at mom's. < insert moms candle = burn down the house drama here >

Sounds like me back in the 1980s.

I was buying up books like there was no tomorrow.

I was reading everything that Stephen King ever wrote. I went around reading as much horror, science fiction, and fantasy as I could get my hands on. I also liked mystery thrillers.

i like the feeling books. i discovered a local book box, i picked up a novel there once. Today i saw textbooks.

i wonder if they get more sensitive to smell with age. i "raided" my mom's scented candle that she got as a gift. i've yet to moved my incense.

i just bought salt and pepper at my new place

yep that's how busy and all over the place i've been.

Forgot that there is a new Off Topic thread here. Thanks for starting it. What does she complain about? Pets. Yeah that can happen, especially if you have over a dozen. Hope you all are having a pleasant beginning to this week. There are 2 sayings that can help ones out in I think just about any circumstances. 1 is "It gets worse before it gets better." Another is "It gets worse before it gets worse." You can pick for yourself which 1 suits you more. For me I like having some optimism in life. Have a good one.

I saw some of the Canada Day celebration in Ottawa on YouTube Saturday. Fireworks were cancelled in Montreal I understand due to wildfire smoke. Hopefully everyone is safe there. I do not own any Canadian memorabillia currently. I did find the Justin Trudeau bobblehead where he has a beard, so I plan to buy that sometime as a collector's item and such.

All right. Hopefully that went well. I will try to watch a movie later. Have not decided on which 1 yet. Might get a canteloupe. We already have watermelon & coleslaw.
