I just want to say Thank You to everyone who mailed stuff for the Movie Campaign.

From the sounds of it, there will never be a "Buffy" movie (an unemployed Nick Brendon moans), but there might just be a big-screen outing for a certain quartet (if we're talking re-animated Tess) of aliens - if a fan campaign keeps working as well as it seems to be.

A future film reel unspooling footage of Max and Lix puckering up? Maybe.

According to the RoswellMovie.net site, a campaign to get a film version of the popular tweeny-aliens series seems to be working, in the sense that the right people are looking/reading/intrigued by the camp's efforts.

David Nutter left the site a message last week to say they're getting the message crystal clear. "I would like to thank all the many fans of ROSWELL, young and old, American and International, for their superlative support of a possible Film of the Series, and let you know that I have personally spoken to Dana Walden and Gary Newman (Co-Presidents at Fox Television), as well as Robin Schwartz (President of Regency Television) These are the people that could make it all happen. To emphasize that my interest and the support of the fans is not only still present, but growing by the day. They are well aware of the support level for this and also want to make it happen. I will help in every way that I can."

A poster on the site's board also had the opportunity to pester star Jason Behr at a screening of "The Grudge", in turn discovering he's keen for it too.

Katims's assistant also dropped a note to the guys to let them know that they've been getting all their letters.

Last time I posted an item about the potential "Roswell" movie, a couple of readers wrote in and asked me what I thought the chances of it happening were. At the time, I saw it as a fifty-fifty. Now though, I think the chances of it happening are increasing by the tick. Jason Behr's just been in a smash-hit movie ["The Grudge"], and that's sure to have FOX thinking the guy might actually have some pull. Doesn't hurt that this campaign seems to be drawing peepers and getting interest from the suits either.

I'm 105% per cent behind the campaign (an extra 5% for Heigl's killer legs), so head on over and do your bit to see that the defunct WB/UPN series get a reprise.

As a few of you know, RoswellMovie.net is getting ready to start a "mini" campaign to try to get a little media "buzz" going. Basicaly, we're picking a radio station from each state. One from a large city. We'll pick one state for each day of the week--Monday thru Friday-- and we'll email them asking them to play Here with Me by Dido during their request hour.

The thinking on this is that at first there won't be much going on, just some fun seeing if they play it, but we're hoping that after a little while, the word will spread between the stations/states what's going on.

The goal is the email messages short and sweet. A sample could be:

"Please play Here with Me by Dido
Thanks,
I vote Roswell Movie"

Something like that. Just keep it simple.

These are the states that we'll be emaling next week (starting Monday, Dec 6th, ending Dec 10th). If anyone from any of these cities knows of a better station to send the requests to, please email us at info@roswellmovie.net. Please put "radio station" in the subject line.

Thanks for all of the help and support!

Here's the schedule from Dec 6th- Dec 10th!

The main thing is to keep email messages short and sweet. A sample could be:

"Please play Here with Me by Dido
Thanks,
I vote Roswell Movie"

Something like that. Just keep it simple.

Email early. From lunchtime on is good. If you have more than one email address, feel free to send from them all, but keep it to a minimum. We don't want to spam them to death.

Each state gets a day. Please don't email past their day. The goal is to have fun, not annoy.

-Monday-
Arkansas- Little Rock -
KLAZ 105.9 All Request Traffic Jam
jackfrost@klaz.com

Their Traffic Jam should start about 5 PM CST.

-Tuesday-
Florida - Tallahassee 104.9
Traffic jam requests -
hottrafficjam@yahoo.com

Their Traffic Jam should start about 5 PM EST.

-Wednesday-
Iowa- DesMoines KKDM 107.5
requests ~
http://www.kkdm.com/request.htm

-Thursday-
Kansas- Kansas City KMXV 93.3
e-mail requests --
request@mix93.com

-Friday-
Colorado - Denver KFMD 95.7
http://www.club957.com/info/kfmd-feedback.html

(from the drop down menu, i'm thinking we should choose Music on KISS. If anyone knows different, please email me at roswellmouse@roswellmovie.net. )

Have fun!

International Contact the Creators Day

Sunday, May 7th marks the final air date of Roswell and we want to let the creators know that we still love Roswell and we still want a movie. So, it’s time for a new campaign, it will be a simple one day event and we hope everyone will participate. All you have to do is tell them how Roswell has touched you and why you would like to see the movie happen. We want to make this an International event to prove to them that Roswell has touched the hearts of people around the world.

All we ask is for you to sit down and write a note to the creators, telling them from the heart why you love this show, that simple. We are providing a card for you to print out and then write your message on the back, or you can just use your own cards or paper, let your imagination go - just keep it simple, please. You can send it to all three or you can take your pick of just one or two, it’ll be up to you. We will be sending out the cards on April 29th, 2006, this will give them time to get there before the anniversary date. Hopefully they will arrive in large groups, the North American ones should arrive first, and the foreign ones will arrive a little later. It should make quite an impression when they see your letters pouring in from around the world.

Here’s where they go:

Jonathan Frakes

c/o Joni LIndblom

JLL Management. Inc.

10601 Cloverfield Blvd.

2nd Floor, South Tower

Santa Monica, CA 90404

Jason Katims

10201 W. Pico Blvd.

Bldg. 54 Rm 4

LA, CA 90035

Fox

c/o Jason Katims

10201 W. Pico Blvd.

Bldg 54 Rm 4

LA, CA 90035

Jason Katims assistant has been kind enough to make sure the right people at Fox receive theirs.

So, make sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, April 29th, 2006 for the International Contact the Creators Day

Our thanks to everyone that participates,

RoswellMovie.net staff

Hope this helps let the campaign begin.

Carry on everyone.

We're referring to the end of Roswell on UPN. The anniversary.

The campaign page at RoswellMovie.net now reads:
