The lightning just plain SUCKS. OMG. It's killing me. I really, really hope the next episode is way better. It's like it's just not crisp like other episodes were (except maybe the Pilot...which was ALSO directed by the same person as 2x01).

Yeah I get why people binge shows too, it's just not my style for most shows. I like to take my time and invest in the characters and their world. My idea of binging is watching two episodes of a show I'm seeing each night (what I'm currently doing with Buffy atm) and with that method it takes me about a month to get through a season of most shows, as opposed to so many who finish a whole show in that timeframe. I'll go faster though if I want to get through an annoying plot quicker however

. And if a show only has one season thus far, like when I watched Nancy Drew this summer.

Gifs have gotten me into many shows, but yes a lot of the time they don't do the show itself justice. You have to watch to get the full effect.

IDK how you can binge watch Buffy!!! I WISH I could have binged some of those episodes...but...you're right...you have to EXPERIENCE them to really ~feel it.

Right? You can't, not in the traditional sense of binging. So much goes on in a show like that. Then there's the Angel series, with its Buffy crossovers. Binging it is impossible. Two episodes a night is enough. Gives me time to absorb what happened, especially in episodes like Passion, which I saw last week.

Regarding Nancy Drew, I pray that the episode tomorrow (this week flew

) is at least not so grainy. Hopefully that was a one-off homage to low budget horror like The Blair Witch Project.

God I hope so too!!!! I can't take it anymore. Smaller gifs might be okay for this episode (REALLY SMALL)...but I can't take this grainy-ness all season. I need crisper scenes cause they make the best gifs.
