I think we are to assume he is the same age as nancy or a year older. He went in at 15 and did 3 years. So 18/19.

He seems pretty smart but I wonder if that was just something he started getting into more when Tiffany was bringing him those books while he was in juvie.

He was a pretty serious football player....so he had to keep his grades up in order to play...but maybe he wasn't as into learning as he was when he went to juvie?
