I have like 100 pages left (I read a lot today).....and I'm still not sure where this is going.

I stayed up late and finished last night.

The ending was enough to make sure I read the next book but wow it was a slog up until the last few chapters. It easily could have been like 200 pages shorter.

I have 71 pages left. I'm interested to see what the ending is...but there's no way it will make up for the absolute SLOG of this book!!!!

I will be majorly side-eyeing the next book if its equally as long though because I assume it will be more of the same.

Okay I finished last night. I gave it three stars...three generous stars...mainly really because I like the ending and where the story is going. Overall, the book was TOO LONG. It's hard to believe some stuff I read so early on was in the same book. It's just crazy!

Three stars is exactly what I gave it for pretty much the same reason! I'm surprised no editor or something throughout the publishing process was never like "hey this could be a lot shorter"

You see what I mean about the ending though!

Yeah Iron Flame was just wayyy too long but at the same time nothing happened? Fourth Wing had a lot more action and packed in a shorter book. There's really no need for Onyx Storm to be super long based on that so if it's like 800 pages...I mean I'll probably still read it but I will not be happy about it
