3x05 - "The Vision of the Birchwood Prisoner"
Episode Discussion

After a major setback in the Frozen Hearts case,
Nancy (Kennedy McMann) asks Temperance (guest star Bo Martynowska) for help
with an occult approach to getting answers from a murder suspect.
Meanwhile, the Bobbsey entanglement creates a world of trouble for Ace (Alex Saxon),
and George (Leah Lewis) has a long-overdue confrontation with someone from her past.

Not really looking that forward to this episode other than hopefully maybe getting answers from Ace's storyline. Also, I'm intrigued by George's father.

I will be time shifting this episode though because I'm not going to watch any of that goldfish nonsense. If I miss something regarding the FHK mystery, I guess I'll miss it and look for a summary later.

One of the showrunners co-wrote this episode and I know how badly she obsessed with him so...I'm expecting loads of pimping on social media.

Good thing I barely pay attention to stan Twitter anymore.

Yeah the last episode is gonna be hard to top. I am interested to see where the thing with George's dad goes.

Yeah, I mean...we were fed so much the last two episodes...I'm guessing there will be way less for a while...although I'm hoping this whole Bobbsey thing ends and launches Ace into his proper S3 storyline.

I am interested in George's dad. I want to know why Kevin from Supernatural stayed away and if it was Victoria's doing.

Apparently the writers tweeted that we're supposed to get answer regarding the show mythology tonight...so I guess that's good?

Not really expecting much else tbh.

So I started watching about 8:30 and I fast-forwarded anything involving Park...although Tempe and him seem to be pretty chummy? Why? And his name is Nelson?! Why would someone do that to a kid?!

Anyway....the episode was WAYYY better than I thought it was gonna be.

- Ace looked SUPER HOT. OMG. Holy crap. If Nancy doesn't want him...I'll GLADLY take him.

- I cannot believe Thom kicked ACE OUT OF HIS HOUSE. OMG. But Nick/Ace roomies finally!!!!!!!

- Nancy/Ace had two really good scenes and I LOVE that his first reaction was to immediately ask her for help.

- Carson/Ace was literally golden and then Ace SNUCK OUT BEHIND HIS BACK just like Nancy would...

- Loved how Ace solved the cipher himself even though Nancy solved it too and told Carson.

- Bess is being so manipulated by Tempe.

- Why does Tempe have Park's phone number?!

- Leah Lewis was SOOO good in this episode. I loved her scenes with her dad.

- Unfortunately Nick/George are fighting now. I can see where maybe Nick might try to "help" her which might be seen as a betrayal.

- Ace's mom's heart condition? Are they going to kill off Rebecca? Or use a heart episode to patch up things between Ace and Thom?

- Ew rats.

More later when I rewatch...

Oh I just asked if you watched in the Ace and Nancy thread

I should have come here first. I thought the episode was great!

Ace did look really hot. I loved seeing more of him with is parents (even though it ended badly

I loved Ace's arm around Nancy at the end for a second

Leah was awesome! But yeah it looks like things are not good for Nick and George.

I loved Ace worrying about her

But now I'm worried about her too. I hope she's okay. I don't want sad Ace.

Yeah Tempe is definitely connected to that thing. And with that time she had alone with it she was definitely up to something shady.

Oh and how she gave Trott a stroke?! Probably because he knew something that she didn't want Nancy to know. Dude was crazy and messy and Tempe is way smarter than that.
