In all fairness, those movies are really old. At the time, they didn't really care about or dig girl power yet. They made stereotypes about women who were bold or even a little masculine.

I always hated when they had women just standing around to get kidnapped and saved. So I'm always glad when they have the women defend themselves or help the hero. So the way Michelle was written in FFH is just another example of that.
