It just reminds you how the police are the minute they look at you. Crazies like this dude can easily get a gun, but if a poc was around, they'd arrest them instead of him. It's too depressing.

I had hidden a traumatic event and when a friend said a word, it came flooding back and making me cry.

I don't watch any horror movies. So I have no idea what these movies are about. I don't deal well with movies like that. Haven't seen The Handmaiden's Tale either because it doesn't interest me.

Talking about a past sad/traumatic event is always hard, but it is good to let someone in because then you're not in it alone.
