I think it has a lot to do with them living in the middle of Paris so standards are higher? I believe we did see Emma's house in season 1, and even Manon (or Lucas and the flats they stayed in).

I guess I don't remember the other homes well enough. I'm just glad she had everyone there and that she eventually accepted that they were there.
