I read a post on tumblr that someone guessed that maybe the way that Jesse knew that Alex was gay before he did. Is that when Alex and Kyle were hanging out and being best buds. That a young Alex might had a crush on Kyle, but didn't know what that was at the time. But Jesse picked up on it and wanted to nip it in the bud quickly. So that's why he started to beat Alex for being gay.

that honestly could be it - that makes a lot of sense. Before high school Alex wouldn't have known what he was feeling and kids usually just react most times without really thinking it over

I don't think the show would go down Alex|Kyle in that way even if I think its becoming popular [?] I just think Kyle is not that way. He was a dick|jerk in high school but now he's matured and accepts

I just don't want everybody under the sun to be bisexual or gay

so I rather they don't go down the route that Kyle was such a dick|jerk because he was in the closet or he was being that way from not knowing of his own sexuality and acting out on it

Jesse is a gross douchebag!! I think many fans have speculated about it, but since nothing has been confirmed.. we just sort of forgot about it

It would make for a funny scene if Alex confessed to Kyle being his first big crush
