I'm have been freaking out since Wednesday. EU wants to destroy the internet as we know it. They want to add a filter for copyright which will lead to only big sites will survive. Plus there is an high chance that all the social media (facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube, tumblr etc) will geo block everyone in Europe if this falls through. Because they don't want to pay for the copyright. Because if a member upload something on youtube (for example) and it has copyright on it, it is not the member who has to pay it. It is YouTube that has to pay and they don't want that. So in March they will vote for this to pull through or not and I just feel sick all the time thinking that I will lose contact will all my online friends and I have to stop making gifs/edits too.

Been trying to share so much stuff about this on twitter, tumblr and facebook, but because no Media wants to share this, not many know about it or understand what will happen. So I just feel so helpless with this..

That is true that it comes up every few years..

But this time it is serious. They have a plan that they made up this Wednesday and will vote for it this March/April in Parliament. And so many in the Parliament is supporting this that it is shocking. This is so serious this time. It is not just talk about it. It is something that is in motion right now this second.

It is not the petition site.

It is a site were you can find info about Article 13 and also phone numbers and emails to the MEPs so you can beg them to change their mind.
