I don't think it will be painful... I mean we all know that Michael and Alex are going to try to be in different relationships and we also know that they will be healing their combined traumas (traumas they share together) by rebuilding their own relationship. If fans expect Malex to be together right now.. that is what we will be painful. They are no where near ready to be in a relationship together.. they both have so much healing to do first.. both separately and together. This new friendship will help lead them back to each other.. get them ready for when they do come back together romantically
