Bad century, Sarah. :( I used to think that the 1990s were bad because of all the personal problems I was going through with my family, especially my father, and the things that happened to me. We started the decade moving out of the home I grew up in and into a new home my stepmom insisted on, only for my dad to get fired from his job for whatever the hell he did to make a down payment on that house, and he ended up filing for bankruptcy. He and my stepmom divorced the year later, and that whole mess ended up being all for nothing. We had to move out of that new house and into a condo temporarily, and then my dad met his new wife and moved in with her, and I ended up moving into this stupid apartment complex and I've been here ever since. :( And certain personal issues sent me spiraling downward into depression and I ended up in a hospital in therapy in the early 2000s. I spent most of the 1990s missing the 1980s terribly because I felt like I'd lost everything since the 80s ended.
But you know something? As bad and things were for me personally, I know I could've done better if I'd had more help from my family instead of everyone just ignoring me or abandoning me. My life may have sucked, but I must admit that everything else about the 1990s was pretty good. The world was different from what it was in the 1980s, but it was still sane and normal, and fun. Ever since the year 2001 and the 21st century began, everything has gone down the toilet. I'd give anything for the 1980s and 1990s now. Hell, I'd take the 1970s as well, when I was just in elementary school.
