Twitter is bad. It promotes dumbing down, misunderstanding, shallowness and aggression. And I'm not just talking about Trump.

I agree with you about Skype, Tar, but the rest of the internet is a cesspool. Studies have shown that internet use make people feel more lonely and depressed.

The internet promotes the kind of narrow-minded extreme politics that have become so popular these days. Just try to criticise an MCU movie on the net in certain places and you'll see how narrow-minded people have become, how intolerant of differing views. They rant about how they dislike "negativity", but really what they mean is they can't bear to hear any view that's at odds with their own.

True. And there's no safe place. Some place are better than others but even here on FF if you say something and someone disagrees with it, it goes on forever with very little respect.
