Well, I'm talking about the comics. Hama's comics were always way better than those damn cartoons.

The comics were for kids too. It was all for selling the toys.

Like hell they were. In the comics they used bullets, not freaking lasers. You'd never know what a Vulcan 20 mike-mike was in the cartoons, but in the comics they told you. It's a Vulcan 20mm Gatling cannon. Hama was very detailed when it came to specifics regarding rank, insignia, weapons, land vehicles, aircraft, maritime vehicles, amphibious vehicles, equipment, ordinance, terminology, you name it. Marvel's GI Joe comics written by Hama were like a comic book version of Tom Clancy. Oh, and people actually got killed in the comics, too. Hama made it a point to kill off a lot of the characters he didn't care about but was forced to include in the comics in order to promote the action figure line. RIP Quick Kick.

Tons of kids' comics portray people getting killed and involve use of bullets. And so what if Hama was detailed in his portrayal of military stuff? Little boys like that sot of thing. As for Tom Clancy and the GI Joe comics, there's no comparison. There wouldn't have been any comics if it weren't for the toy line. Hama's Fury Force idea wasn't getting the green light. He only got the go ahead because they wanted a comic to promote the toys. You refusing to admit that the GI Joe comics were for kids is another one of the many frustrating examples of you being in denial.

The toys were for kids, but not the comics. And even though Hama's Fury Force didn't get the greenlight, he just took his Fury Force storyline and used it for GI Joe, changing the names of all his characters.

Hama was obligated to do certain things, yes, but he still managed to tell his Fury Force storyline in the context of GI Joe. It's a testament to Hama that he wrote over 90% of the GI Joe comics.
The Silent Issue was definitely not to sell toys. __________________

Yeah, but Hama would always kill off the characters that were only around to sell toys.
