I think that Jennifer just tends to stand apart from other American actresses of her generation is all. I think many people didn't expect her to be as good as she is, or to become as popular so fast. Some actors and actresses are like that, they just happen to be at the right place at the right time and catch lightning in a bottle. I remember I wasn't too keen on Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio back in the 90s and I never understood what the big deal was.
