Well, I do agree with her about political correctness, Tar. I despise it. But I also think that while an actor should have the option to explore their range, there are some roles that perhaps aren't appropriate, that's all.

I saw on Facebook that she made a comment about that interview being taken out of context/manipulated. Not sure if it's true.

Well, Hollywood types are always trying to do damage control. They should show more spine and stop apologizing all the time for just speaking their mind.

Now Trump almost sort of apologized after his fans at a rally in North Carolina were chanting "Send her back!" about Somali-born US congresswoman Ilhan Omar. I'm really quite shocked by his semi-apology as much as by their rabid chants. He doesn't do apologies.

Everything he does now confuses me. And the Democrats aren't exactly taking advantage of this by acting any less stupid or radical.

He thrives by confusing people. He has everybody off-guard and lost. That's how he wants them. He's a predatory beast, a force for chaos destroying democracy and civilization. Which is exactly what his master Putin wants him to be. Trump is Putin's wrecking ball for destroying the West.

Yes it is.
OMG, this 1986 movie, In The Name of The Rose is one I haven't seen in decades. Sean Connery and Christian Slater. And this movie perfectly sums up why I hate political correctness. "Laughter kills fear, and without fear, there can be no faith. Because without fear of The Devil, there is no more need of God." Modern translation: "Laughter kills fear/offense, and without fear/offense, there can be no faith/political correctness. Because without fear/offense of The Devil/that which we tell people to be offended by, there is no more need of God/progressivism." __________________

It is. And I especially like the whole theme of preserving knowledge while some try to determine what people should and shouldn't know, or what should or shouldn't be said. I applied it to different things over time, but today I'd apply it to PC culture.

It's one of Connery's best films. It's based on an Umberto Eco novel

Yeah, I understand, Tar. It has a very medieval vibe. I think it's set right before the renaissance.
It was a very underrated film, sum1. New thread time! __________________
