Why not use an enchanted blade like Kurata.

I was looking into phoenix myths for possible powers:

In the myths there seems to be a relation to song and Dance. In one myth the phoenix song is so beautiful that the Greek sun God Apollo stopped his chariot to listen. Though dancing had some relationship to his resurrection.

Oh and look Landon has a guitar.

Phoenix tears are healing and resurrection.

I wonder what happens when he cries.
