Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website. As we want every board to have their own unique look it is preferable that you do not link to the customisations of other boards as suggested colour schemes.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Chelle, or Rora a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes approximately two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have finished making the graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

Please everyone share your thoughts on what you'd like to see here, even if you only post in a few threads or just the episode ones. I'd love to know what everyone wants so we can have something we can all enjoy & be happy with


Here are my thoughts -

Characters: The obvious must haves are Macy, Mel, & Maggie . I personally want to say Harry too as while they left things up in the air in the last ep I don't see him going anywhere & he is their whitelighter (& that's our core four )
I'm on the fence about the other ones. We don't have a promo picture for Parker but I feel if we add Galvin & Niko then we need him too. Then Galvin I'm sure a lot of us could do without but to me its all three or none at all regardless of personal opinions of certain characters . Plus Galvin has actually been in every ep while Niko & Parker have only been in 7 eps so unfortunately probably deserves to be in it as much as Harry or at least more than Niko & Parker. I don't mind either way. Obviously with only 4 characters they would larger than if we go with 7 but they'll still all be a decent size either way

Placement: GT Please go with whatever works with the pictures you're using, keeping the Charmed ones as the largest & Harry to be second largest. Lets go with if I don't like what you're doing I'll say so (perks of being on the team )
Personally I'd like to see Maggie between Mel & Macy as it works well with their relationships. Mel & Maggie grew up together, but then from the start Maggie has been more welcoming of Macy & recent events tie them together even more. Maggie's a bit like glue keeping her sisters together so makes sense to put her in the middle. Not sure if pics will allow for that but if so then it'd be most appreciated
If we go with the full 7 then I want to say it should be Harry/Galvin/Niko/Parker in order of importance. Depending on how you did it, if the Charmed Ones are in the middle then Harry & Galvin could be the same size on either side, then Niko & Parker smaller on either side. Although I'd say Harry is more important than Galvin is (not to mention far more liked)

Pictures: I don't really want to go 'please use these pics' as I trust the team & know it can sometimes be easier to use other pictures. You can find our promotional pictures here, but really I think that this photoshoot is better & will be easier to use or at least use some of the pictures from. There's also this shoot which has some fun pics but I feel like the Macy pictures are more like the actress than the character, especially with the hair. I don't think she's ever had her hair up on the show other than for Halloween. These may work, not sure

Colours: My first thought is something involving purples as I always associate that colour with magic. Or pinky/blueish/purple shades. I kinda like the colours I used in the post count thread graphic but then I don't know how I'd feel about a whole colour scheme like that. It fits magic but I don't know if it fits the show or well me . I was thinking that my board guide colour scheme may fit the show better - although when I made it, it was to match the photo I used. That's more a blue/grey & pink/grey shades I guess you could describe them as. So not sure if anyone else has any thoughts on colours? Just playing around with those & then even combining them a bit I came up with these:

I think I like the 4th or 3rd ones the best as they mix up the first two ideas, or at least the idea of mixing the first two ideas in some way. The first colour scheme feels too 'light/bright/happy' for the show which has more of a darker & mysterious feel in it. But then the 2nd one I'd fear may be too dark &/or depressing? The 3rd & 4th feel more like a nice mix of the two. I'm leaning more towards the 4th one I think
For the red which is suggested, I don't care if it only showed up in the image. I love the colour, but it is terrible on the eyes, & I know from experience that having red bars is awful so please use it minimally if at all. I know that goes without saying since we don't use the colour since its harsh but wanted to add it in since I was unintentionally having the colour in three of the above colour schemes. Also for the benefit of non-team members who may see red & wonder about it or agree with how harsh it is
My other thought is browns may work? I really don't know...

Text/logo: GT please leave off (2018) from the graphic . Then the logo used is this one I want to add, for those familiar with the original, that the triquetra isn't really a big thing on the show. Its on the BoS still, & has been on some promotional posters, but I haven't really seen it used otherwise. For me I personally connected it with the original show but not this one? In my mind I do like to give the shows separate identities, & this could just be me doing that, but I like to leave the triquetra for the original at least for right now while its not being such a huge part of the show. We don't even see it in the title card bit, just the show logo

I don't post much around here but i want to participate for this place to be pretty too

Characters: Mel, Maggie, Macy and Harry and I agree with Maggie in between the two others sisters
I don't feel like others should be added as of now bc i don't think we'll know if they tend to stay or not...I would say maybe ask for an update later on like in S2/S3 if they get more times

As for the logo, i feel the same, the name and probably just that nothing else

Color scheme: i like your 4th option, not a fan of pinkish stuff red and blue looks perfect

For the pics, i trust your choice for the characters

Yeah I know, but I wanted to cover everything. I may have actually written it out on the weekend too since I obviously knew it was coming up

i don't know, in S1 of charmed original, it was mainly the 3 girls and Leo, not much of love interests that stays through the season, piper dated many guys and a bit of Dan/Leo and prue had no one phoebe was like not with anyone...so except Leo/Dan, not many other people around the 3 girls!

My personal feelings for Galvin aside....Parker, Harry, and Galvin are all listed as main characters along with the sisters. Maybe them and I'd say Niko, too, because I feel like she's going to be around a lot more now that she's been brought back. There's no way of knowing that for sure, it's just a feeling but it feels wrong not putting her in the banner too if Parker and Galvin are in it. I'd personally say all of them or none of them. So if that ends up being the case then we could maybe just use the sisters. Or the sisters and Harry?

I agree that Maggie seems to be the one tying Mel and Macy together at this point so maybe going Mel/Maggie/Macy would be best for them. If Harry is added then Mel/Maggie/Macy/Harry.

And if we add Parker, Galvin, and Niko then (again my feelings for Galvin aside) part of me agrees Galvin/Parker/Niko, but at the same time I feel like even in Parker's limited episodes he's still had much more story with the sisters. Galvin's mainly just been put with Macy the entire time so I'd more so probably think Parker/Galvin/Niko.

All of the pics you linked look good. I think any could work, whichever the graphics team feels works best. They're all good choices.

For Macy I do prefer the second pic mainly because it's more up front and you don't have to squint to really see her face. The first is still workable, too, I'd think if it is easier to work with for the GT.
Mel I will leave solely to the GT because I love both pics and think either of them would be perfect to use.
Maggie, I am biased because that promo pic is my favorite of hers by far. I love her dress and her facial expression and just everything about that pic. I like the second one, too. But that first one.
The Harry pics are the same as Mel's for me.
Galvin, i'd say the second one sense it'd be weird to have him doing a full smile when none of the other characters are.
Niko, the one of her in glasses seems most show Niko to me.
Parker, good cap pic. I think it's a nice find and would work well in the banner.

Those are such great color schemes. The first one is the most pleasing to my eyes, but the other three are so pretty, too. For me it'd go 1, 3, 4, 2. But truthfully any of those would probably look so good!

None of my picture suggestions were actual suggestions, just showing who is who tbh. We will mainly just see their heads so I'm not fussed on the rest. Maybe I also just trust the team too much to actually pick things . I like your comments about pictures

Characters for me are all or none for Galvin/Parker/Niko but i don't know yes or no on adding them

For colours I agree about 1 but it doesn't fit the show as much for me? All would be easy on the eyes though . Maybe we can go with #3 if you like that second?

I'd say niko and Parker.... Glavin seems to just stay with macy mostly.

I'm not sure about colours... Purples, pinks, reds... Something along those lines.

Do you like any of the suggestions I posted? Maybe #3 which is close to what you're saying only more blue than purple (but we can always make it a little more purple too )
