Thank you Feedback and tips are always nice.
The coloring layers take forever. I’m just surprised they turned out ok with how much I procrastinate. |

Can I ask how many layers you typically do?

OMG! I just pack layers and layers on, sometimes I merge in the middle and start again. It’s a lot because I don’t have set ideas going in. I keep going till I get the most desired effect. I envy anyone who goes in with a plan and can get it done quickly with very little effort and have it looking like a master piece. If I have to count, 20 or more layers. Rarely under 20 for sure. That’s color layers, textures, and text. I can’t really replicate exact colors either because it’s hard for me to keep track of all that I’ve done. That’s why I’m full of colors. I did save some old psd color projects from years back that I will still use from time to time. They are really pretty, but not as bold as my style now.
Is there a certain one that you are interested in? I can try to make a psd tutorial of something similar. |

I'm the same, sometimes I put so many layers on. I use a lot of textures as well and written textures. Whatever works for you though. Your icons look good.

Wow 20! Its so different to how I do it. I have a standard psd I use and I alter it according to the image. Its really interesting to hear how you do it though, you never think about these things when you look at people's art

Thank you. It’s a process, but whatever works is the best policy. I guess it’s whatever I’m feeling at that moment.
Theresa I really like your coloring for all the marvel icons. The colors are bold and they really stand out. It’s also an extra bonus when you have lots of color and it looks glowy but also sharp. That is very hard to do. If you’re only using one psd and making subtle changes that cool. Your icons will always have a uniqueness. |
