Not sure if its a good thing that I got use to Photoshop first than read Mel's thing or if it would have been better to have read it first thing

Experimenting can be a good thing, but since my tutorial is very specific perhaps it could have really helped you.

Well here goes I decided to go with Katie as my guinea pig for the first time trying Mel's tutorial. Used my favorite photoshoot which is the one that is currently on the board. So here's the first attempt
Going to do 1 more from that exactly photoshoot before getting serious and really giving it a go - just wanted to use that photoshoot to get the graphical juices flowing

Yeah it's way better... but still there are Whites... in order to better erase everything around her you have to make the banner your working on bigger.. not the Pictures themselves but the whole banner just see the edges better.. (I'm not sure how to describe that better as my PS is in german.. but there's always a % info at the left bottom Cornern.. you Need to increade that like working with a looking glass)..

I hope that was not too confusing..

Well I have it 690 - 300 before putting it down to the 230 - 100 saying to go even before than that like 4 times bigger instead of just 3
Alright time to move on from that photoshoot which is difficult but am stubborn where its favorite. So hopefully less painful time with a better photoshoot

She doesn't mean making the banner actually bigger. Holly means zooming in so you can see more of the details. For example, I have mine on 200% right now to make sure I cut out the pictures as accurately as I can.

So any thoughts on my first 2 attempts using your tutorial? with the photoshoot that according to Chelle is a nightmare even if we WANTED it badly for our board banner
