That never works. Just one episode and then you finish a whole season.

I am interested to see how they'll take it though, I'm wondering if they'll follow to the books ending or change it up.

Depends on what the book ending is guess. No idea what it is myself, but they tend to change small things for entertainment purposes.

It has been a long time since I've read the books...but the ending was kind of an abrupt cliff hanger. I feel as though ending the show in the same way as the book would be pretty predictable considering they've followed the books closely thus far.

Unless they continues the show after the books with new writing?

Could be interesting, it's definitely possible for them to write past where the books went. Considering the books ending was rather open ended.

I wonder if there was ever plans to write more in the series and that is why it ended like it did?

It's a possibility. All the books were published between 1999-2006, but I don't really think that the author intended to go back to them and add although he did leave it open. The whole idea of the books was that they're unfortunate events...so there really isn't supposed to be a resolution or happy ending.

Yeah, that’s why the season 2 finale left us on the cliffhanger it did.

It'd definitely be interesting to say the least if Netflix ended it with their own ending.

Thanks for that! I think it was posted on the Television board thread, hard to remember to share it everywhere!
Hoping that we'll get the third season sooner than the previous two because it was done early. |

I think it helped that it was renewed for 2 and 3 together. Idk how I would feel about them changing the ending.
