When he was trying to find her he kept seeing her but then she disappeared and it seemed like it was the ghost of Olivia and the house sensed she would die, just like young Nell saw the ghost of herself.

And yes, the storm was a perfect match for their broken relationships.

They did such a great job at casting the young/old Crains.

Ahh yes, I was thinking about it after you mentioned that and thought that might be what you were referring to. It'll be a nice tie-in, if that was the case ... because the natural assumption was that it was young!Olivia
Spoiler:

The casting was SO spot-on, you can really see the resemblance.

Watched episode 7 last night, another great one.

I love how well structured this show is, everything's so well connected, nothing's forgotten. In episode 1 Steve heard a cry and now, 6 episodes later, we hear the backstory of the Dudleys and how they heard their baby's cry.

I watched it on my phone, so not everything was clear enough but are we supposed to take away that the forever house was in fact Hill House or at least inside of it?

Hugh has to face all the mistakes he did with his children. The look on his face when Luke said "Big boys know the difference between what’s real and imaginary — isn’t that right, dad?”

Speaking of Luke, he was such a mess in this episode, losing his twin sister, seeing her and their mother's ghost. I really hope this isn't going to push him back into addiction but I wouldn't blame him if it did.

And now Theo saw the ghost of Olivia too. So is the ghost of Olivia coming for all the kids or something?

The episode wasn't too scary but every time somebody got too close to the opening in the wall, I was like: don't do it. I would never.

I also still love how this show is shot.

Me too, everything flows seamlessly and connects in a later episode. (I missed the baby crying in the first episode though )

I didn't think about it but it could be. I feel like it's touched upon in a later episode so we can probably discuss more once you finish all the episodes.

That was rough but necessary. Hugh had good intentions but he definitely had a hand in how his kids dealt with their mom's death and their dad's part in it because they simply didn't know what had happened and why they had lost their mother. In keeping it from them and trying to deny anything that the kids thought that they saw in the house (especially Luke and Nell), he made it worse.

I know, right? I'm like "Dudes, why are you going to the weird opening in the wall??" I would be steering clear of it.
