It wasn't just Elsa though, it's not like Doug disagreed with her, they both screwed up not realizing how much they burden their daughter with and act like they have one kid.

It's not easy for Doug to stand up against Elsa ... at least he promised Casey, that he will try to convince Elsa, that it's better when she goes to the better school

I really love Ewan ... it was time that someone points it out what they do to Casey

I mean imo it's more selfish to leave your family for 8 months and the therapy session also showed that he's not as involved as she is. I definitely feel like she needs to let Sam make more of his own decisions but I don't think it's fair to judge her so harshly, considering she doesn't seem to get a lot of support from the family. Doug and Casey seem to take everything she does for granted.

Yes I like him too, he's a great bf.

You're right, running away was sefish from Doug

It's not easy for Doug to speak to the therapy group and the interruptions from this woman were not helpful ... Everyone should be able to speak in his own words to the group without interruptions which confuse you

I agree with letting Sam make his own decisions

Ewan's harsh words are understandable for me ... he cares about Casey and Elsa has only in mind what's the best for Sam
