100% agree. That is an incredibly dangerous message for the show to push. I cannot, for the life of me, see myself sympathizing with a calculating, merciless serial rapist.

I still haven't warmed up to the new girl, but I'm only a couple of episodes in so far, so who knows.

Thats really sad. Not liking her character, fine. Expressing it on social media? Fine. Tagging the actress or bullying her or treating her like its her fault? SO UNCALLED FOR. People are ridiculous.

That is terrible it's another reason twitter bugs me there are characters I don't like but I would bully the actors or actresses

I definitely don't think people should be going on to the actors's social media to tell them that they don't like their character. People were posting in her IG comments that her character ruined the show etc. & I thought to myself why tell her that. OTOH I also am seeing people using this to guilt trip people for not liking the character. IMO as long as you're not going on her page you shouldn't be forced to like a character just b/c it might hurt the actor's feelings.

She seems new to this whole thing so she might've taken it personally if she happened to see that people didn't like her character. I've seen it with some of the other newer cast members who often aren't used to being apart of fandom and they read fan reactions, you're doing that at your own risk.

Twitter doesn't do enough to tackle the harassment that goes on but I think this happened on Instagram?

This kind of fan behaviour is one of the reasons why a lot of celebs hire people to handle their social media for them.

I know it's people I just feel social media has gotten out of hand and people harass people in ways they didn't before. I am not trying to say all social media is bad. I like looking at instagram and some celebratory tweets. I just find some things have gone out of hand.There is absolutely nothing wrong with not liking a character I criticize characters but I never send hate to the person playing them

Most people don't engage in this kind of behaviour but unfortunately the most hateful people are the loudest.
