When I saw the cover I didnt think: "oh, they are racist!" but I thought why they werent other actresses that are talented too, not because of their skin color. It was just a coincidence they are not white skin as the girls on the cover.

It's the same thing with me. I didn't realize anything until I saw people blogging about it.

So anyone else excited about Anna workign with James McAvoy in the future? I sure am!

So it looks like Summit has picked up the rights to "I'm With Cancer", and Bryce Dallas Howard has also joined the cast.

I'm not really happy about this because the studio totally screwed over Bandslam which got so many amazing reviews including an 81 from the BFCA (critic's choice) and was on Rotten Tomato's best reviewed list. Yet the movie bombed because Summit decided to market it as another teeny bopper flick. They better not screw over this cast.

Summit Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Mandate Pictures’ comedy Untitled Seth Rogen/James McAvoy Project. Formerly known as I’m With Cancer, the film also stars Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick and new cast member Bryce Dallas Howard. Jonathan Levine (pictured), whose credits include The Wackness and All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, will direct from Will Reiser’s screenplay. Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin are producing and Reiser serves as executive producer alongside Mandate Pictures president Nathan Kahane. Principal photography is set to commence in Vancouver this month and Lionsgate is handling international sales at the EFM in Berlin. Sources said the story was about two men dealing with “friendship, love, and survival – in no particular order.” Howard and Kendrick play the love interests. “It’s rare to find a script that has you laughing and crying in equal measure or a cast and director as perfectly suited to get the tone of this unique and moving film as perfectly right,” Summit’s president of production Erik Feig said. Feig and Summit’s senior vice-president of acquisitions and co-productions Michael Schaefer will oversee the project for the studio. Nicole Brown will oversee for Mandate Pictures. Levine recently signed on to direct Summit’s upcoming Warm Bodies and is represented by CAA and Ragna Nervik Management. McAvoy, Rogen, Reiser, Goldberg and Karlin are represented by UTA.
