Their management are really tough and homophobic, so the band says a lot of shady things plus they write songs for themselves and others that always reflect their own life and it gets them into trouble a lot. So that's probably why he wrote under a different name, but they still want fans to know so they throw hints out there. Basically the 1D Fandom is one big scavenger hunt.
